Installation of the Composite Cold Boost Pipe (Charge Air Pipe)
Install as follows:
1. Install a new seal onto the intake manifold.
2. Loosely secure the cold boost pipe to the intake manifold with four bolts, making sure the centering holes line up.
3. If installing a NEW cold boost pipe, remove the support bracket from the old cold boost pipe and attach it to the new
one. Torque the bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb·ft).
4. Attach the support bracket to the oil module with two bolts. Torque the bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb·ft).
5. Torque the cold boost pipe to the intake manifold. Torque the bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb·ft).
6. Install Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) mixer pipe. Torque the bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb·ft). Refer to section
"Installation of the Mixer Pipe" .
7. Install the pressure/temperature sensor. Torque bolts to 10 N·m (7 lb·ft).
8. If the intake throttle valve was removed, Refer to section "Installation of the Intake Throttle Valve and Adaptor" .
9. Install the electrical harness connection.
