Thank you very much for purchasing a FUJIPLA Auto Laminator
Please read through this manual carefully before operation.
Please keep this manual and refer to it whenever necessary.

To avoid fire, electric shock, or any danger, do not install the machine in a place like:

near an air conditioner
on an uneven floor

In a dusty area

1. Use appropriate power supply
Always connect to AC120V.
Unstable voltage may cause electric shock, fire, or damage to the machine. Always avoid using
multiple outlet connections.
2. Pay attention to the amperage
Unless the amperage is enough, it may cause fire or malfunction. Do not share the
electrical outlet with other devices.
3. Connect earth wire
Ensure a ground connection is correctly made to avoid any danger or electrical problems.
4. Handle power cord with care
Do not set the machine on the power cord.
Do not pull the power cord forcibly.
Do not place the machine near heated equipment.
Do not alter the power cord.
Damage to the power cord may cause fire, electric shock, or damage to the machine.
Always follow these instructions for safe operation.
1. What to wear
In order to avoid any possible danger,
- do not wear neck-ties, or necklaces that are not tightly fitted to you.

- Be careful that your hair does not get caught in the machine.
2. Operation
- Always close the cover.
- When you are in a closed room, ventilate well.
- Do not spill water on the machine or handle it with wet hands.
* Do not leave the machine during operation. The socket-outlet should be installed
near the equipment and be easily accessible.
3. In an emergency

- Contact your dealer or our technical department.
- Do not attempt to disassemble/repair/alter the machine yourself.
" Maintenance service will be provided by our qualified service staff.
4 Others
Always mind the following instruction in order to avoid serious injury/electric
shock/fire/damage of the machine.
- Do not use the machine for any other purposes.
- Do not put heavy stuff on the machine or shock it.
- Always unplug when you move the machine.
- Remember that the laminated object is very hot.
» Machine may smoke when incorrectly used.
* Do not drop metals such as paper clips or staples inside the machine.
- Do not remove the covers from the machine.
- Never alter or modify the machine.
- Do not remove caution labels from the machine.
- Always use our exclusive lamination film AL-ROLL FILM.
Do not laminate papers such as:
* paper money or valuable securities
- papers with staples
- inflammable paper, or material that is affected by heat such as vinyl chloride
or polyethylene
- very precious articles that are unique and irreplaceable
- papers thicker than 0.4mm including film thickness
- papers that discolor and change in quality by heat such as thermal papers and
crayoned pictures
papers that contains a lot of moisture
- things other than paper
- papers that are curved or have creases
Be sure that the machine is unplugged.
Before cleaning the machine, turn off the power and let the machine cool down, as the machine
gets very hot.
Wipe off stains with a soft cloth.
When stains are persistent, use a firmly squeezed soft cloth soaked in a small quantity of
water or detergent. Wipe off the residue of detergent with a cloth soaked in water.
This is an electronic device which contains components which need to be taken care of at the
end of its life. You can help control emerging risks by disposing the electronic device and
your domestic waste separately. Electric and electronic devices are marked with a crossed out
waste bin indicating that these products should not be dumped together with domestic waste.
IT being dumped together with domestic waste electric and electronic equipment may have severe
impacts on the environment as well as human health not least because of the possibly contained
hazardous materials.
Fujipla provides, in accordance with the European WEEE directives, an easy way to recycle waste
of electric and electronic equipment. Please dispose your waste of electric and electronic
equipment by using your local collection site for this type of waste. The disposal will be
free for you. Fujipla then will take care of the efficient recycling and treatment of electric
and electronic waste together with the management of the local collection site.

3-1. INSTALL AL-MEISTER
Allow a space of about 0.65" around the machine for operation.
*Read the safety instruction about the installation carefully.
3-2. SET FEEDER TRAY
Fix the tray. Keep pressing the feeder tray
downward while fixing.
* When you laminate materials in double letter
and digital paper sizes, set the extension
tray to the feeder tray.
Fix the rear tray firmly in the holes.
Select upper or lower holes according to the
film thickness.

Open the door. Set the waste collection box
to the right so that there is no space between
the box and the side.
Connect power cord to the machine firmly.

Always use the exclusive lamination film for ALM3220.
Always use a combined set of upper and lower film together

3. Open the covers in the order of Front
Cover>>>Feeder Cover>>>Film Cover.
- Feeder Cover can only be opened when the
front cover is open.
- The inside of the machine gets very hot.
Always be careful.
4. Set the roll film to the upper socket. The
marked number of the film roll end and the
one at the socket should be the same.
- If the roll is incorrectly set, it may cause
a problem.

5. For the next film roll, place it slightly back
from the socket.
Pull out the filmby 1° . Put it through under
the guide roll. Set the film roll to the lower
socket firmly.
«If the roll is incorrectly set, it may cause a
problem.
6. Turn Operation Handle to OPEN. There will be a
space between the two heat rollers.
1. Pull out the upper film by 1.65” . Peel off the
paper strip to reveal the adhesive at the very
end of the film. Stick the film setting paper
to it.

8. Rewind the upper film by about 0.65” . Insert
the filmsetting paper as illustrated
* Thick paper of letter size canbe used as a film

9. Pull out the lower film and
peel off the paper strip.

10. Turn on the power switch.
11. By using Manual Feed Switch, feed the paper
and film gradual ly.
12. Feed the film and paper until it comes out the
exit.
It is recommended to remove the rear tray
during this procedure.

13. Turn the Operation lever to the LAMINATE
position. Let the machine warm up.
14. When the machine is warmed up, keep
feedingwith the manual feed switch until
there are no creases or bubbles on the film.
Keep feeding until the upper and lower films
are flush.
Cut the film with Manual Cut Switch. Pull out
the cut film by hand.
15. Close all the covers in the order of Film
Cover >>>Feeder Cover>>>Front Cover

WITHOUT MARGIN position. Close the trimmer
cover.
- Be careful that your fingers do not get cut.

The automatic laminator is equipped with four (4) tension controllers. Two
for the lower film roll and two for the upper film roll.
The purpose of the tension controllers are to apply resistance or “drag” on
the film rolls which makes the film lay flat on the heat shoes and thereby
eliminates creases and bubbles in the lamination. Proper adjustment
recommends that the right side and left side controllers on each roll be
adjusted with the same amount of tension. The top pair of controllers
versus the bottom pair of controllers may vary in order to eliminate “curl”
to the laminated piece. If the laminated piece “curls up” loosen the two
upper controllers or tighten the two bottom controllers. If the exiting
laminated piece curls down, do the opposite as mentioned above. With
the trimmers still in the “position of film set”, tighten all four (4) tension
controllers completely. Then loosen each of the four (4) controllers two (2)
complete revolutions.

Place the operation lever in the “laminate” position.
When the laminator has “warmed-up” and the ready light is on, use the manual speed switch to run film out of the lamina-
tor until all of the bubbles and creases disappear from the lamination and the film is laying flat on the heat shoes. If the
bubbles are “not” disappearing in a reasonable amount of film footage (3 or 4 feet), increase slight tension on the control-
lers (equally).
