To adjust the squelch control, turn the knob clockwise to activate the function and counterclockwise to deactivate. The knob should be regulated exactly at the point where the receiver background noise disappears.

You have two options: 1. Use the rotary channel selector to skip channels by turning the knob clockwise or counterclockwise. 2. Use the UP/DN buttons on the microphone to skip to the next or previous channel. The 'auto-repeat' function is activated if you hold down either button.

Turn the squelch clockwise until the background noise is no longer heard. Press the 'SCAN' button to start the automatic channel scan. The transceiver will scan all channels until a carrier is received. It will stop and start again 8 seconds after the end of the communication on the channel.
