Calibration Steps
1. Turn the PC on and log in to Windows 7 with the password: scan
2. Switch on the Power button on the back of your 3Shape Scanner
3. If prompted, Install any newly detected hardware using recommended or automatic settings; otherwise the system
will automatically complete this operation and notify you when the hardware has been installed via notification
message in the bottom right-hand corner.
4. Run the “Scan Server / ScanSuite” application using the Desktop shortcut
(You can also find this under Start > All Programs > 3Shape > Scan Server.)
5. The scanner should initialize. When it is done you will notice the scan Server icon in the Task Tray will have a
green square that is solid; if it is blinking, the scanner is still working and you must wait until it goes solid. Click
on the “Calibrate Scanner” button and follow the step by step instructions on the screen.
6. Repeat step 6 and re-calibrate the scanner a 2nd time to ensure accuracy – You only need to calibrate twice
whenever the scanner is transported. Normally, you can expect to calibrate your scanner once every 2 weeks or as
needed.
