Users of the Creative Solutions Accounting™ (CSA) software.
This user bulletin explains changes made for this release of Creative Solutions Accounting.
CHANGES
All CSA products
Important! If you are running Creative Solutions Accounting from a network installation, you will be
prompted to run the desktop setup on each workstation the first time CSA is launched after applying this
update. In a Terminal Server environment, you must run the desktop setup from each terminal server that
runs CSA.
Note: You must log in to your computer as an administrator to download and apply software updates via
CS Connect™ and to run the desktop setup. Be certain to restart your computer after running the desktop
setup to insure that all components are installed correctly.
Payroll form and filing information
To determine the status, availability, and filing methods for payroll tax forms, refer to the Payroll section of
the CSA Home Page. Click the + sign next to a jurisdiction to display the list of available forms. Click the
+ sign next to any form to display the status and filing methods available.
Payroll Compliance module


We have updated all copies of the following 1099 forms for 2014 to the latest versions available from
the agency: 1096, 1098, 1099-A, 1099-B, 1099-DIV, 1099-G, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, 1099-OID,
1099-PATR, 1099-R, 1099-S, 1099-SA, 5498, 5498-SA, and W-2G.
We have updated the E-Verify file format to the latest version available from the agency.
State Payroll Tax modules








Connecticut – We have addressed an issue that enabled the application to transmit negative-amount
liabilities electronically for Form CT-941. The application now displays a diagnostic message and
prevents the negative-amount forms from being queued for transmission.
Delaware – We have updated Form UC-8/8A to the latest version available from the agency.
Georgia – We have updated Form DOL-4N to the latest version available from the agency.
Indiana – Before you begin processing 2014 Indiana UC-1 forms for third quarter, you will need to
restart your computer to ensure that the form’s scan line is displayed correctly before you print the
report and send it to the state.
Louisiana – The application now creates only non-submittable copies of Forms LWC ES-4BC and
LWC ES-61. The Louisiana Workforce Commission no longer accepts these forms on paper.
Maine – We have updated Form 900ME to the latest version available from the agency.
Missouri – We have updated the Form MODES 4-7 SUTA file per the Missouri Department of Labor
specifications.
Montana – We have added Form UI-5 Voucher.

New Mexico – We have updated the Form CRS-1 bulk electronic filing format to meet the new TAP
system requirements.
North Dakota – We have updated Form 306 to the latest version available from the agency.
Vermont
 The application now creates only non-submittable copies of Forms C-101 and C-147. Effective for
3rd quarter 2014 reporting, the Vermont Department of Labor requires all employers to file these
forms electronically and will no longer accept paper copies of the quarterly reports.
 We have updated the Healthcare Contribution rate used on Form C-101. Currently, each
employer is exempt from paying the Healthcare Contribution for up to four full-time equivalent
(FTE) employees. Effective for 3rd-quarter 2014 reporting, employers must pay an increased
Healthcare Contribution amount for each FTE above the exemption level of four FTEs.
Engagement CS®
We have addressed an issue that in certain circumstances prevented the application from saving review
notes correctly.

We issue software update notices via email. You can sign up to receive these notices by visiting the My
Account section of our website. You’ll need to create a web account (if you don’t already have one) and
then sign up for the Email Subscription service where you can indicate which notices you want to receive.
