Velcro with adhesive backing Universal Fiber Optic Mount

Thank you for your purchase of Ikelite equipment. Please read these instructions completely before attempting to operate or dive with this product.

This Mount provides an easy way to add fiber optic ports to almost any existing housing. Simply cut to size and adhere to the top of the housing above the camera's built-in flash. Provides two ports for the attachment of one or two fiber optic cords. For best results, use in conjunction with your housing's flash deflector to avoid backscatter.

Attaching Universal Fiber Optic Mount to a Housing

1. Insert one end of a compatible fiber optic cord into one of the two circular port openings in the

Mount on the velcro side. Insert the other end of the compatible fiber optic cord into the functioning strobe that you intend to trigger.

2. Hold the Mount over the housing where you intend to attach it. Choose an area that will allow good adhesion and allow the Fiber Optic Cord to easily see the camera flash.

3. With the camera inside the housing, fire the camera flash several times to make sure the strobe is properly triggered. A properly charged strobe will fire along with each camera flash.

4. Remove the fiber optic cord from the Mount. Using scissors, trim any excess Velcro material from the Mount which could interfere with housing controls or functions. Note: Only trim what is necessary to assure good adhesion to the housing - Diagram A.

Attaching Ports Mount to a Housing (continued)

5. Remove the adhesive backing from the Velcro and attach the Mount to the housing area determined in step 2 - Diagram B.

6. Re-attach fiber optic cord and test fire strobe.
