18SP662 – EPA07 Series 60® Remote-mounted Breather System Installation DESCRIPTION The remote-mounted breather system is an emission-controlled device and must be installed properly to ensure EPA compliance and safe operation. Improper installation can cause oil discharge (or oil pullover and air system fouling for closed systems only), freezing, excessive crankcase pressure, and/or reduced useful life of breather. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE When installing the remote-mounted breather assembly, refer to Freightliner drawing D01-31409 for the correct installation and line routing for the crankcase breather assembly. NOTICE: Failure to follow the guidelines can result in unsatisfactory results including higher emission levels and possible engine damage. Specifications are subject to change without notice.
