WARNING!

General Operator Safety
Read all manuals carefully and be sure that you understand them before you
start work.
Never refuel the engine when it 1s hot or running.
Always exercise caution when handling fuel. Ensure caps are tightly fitted to
all fuel tanks and cans.
Wipe any spilled fuel off the unit.
Move at least 3 metres away from fuelling point and ensure that there are no
leaks before starting the engine.
Operate this machine only in a well ventilated area.
Make sure there are not pets or other people in the are when starting the
machine.
Do not point the suction pipe at people or animals.
Keep hands and body away from hot surfaces such as silencer and cylinder
area when handling the unit to prevent injury from heat.
Never leave the machine unattended with the engine running.
Ensure that the shoulder harness is fitted correctly, comfortably and is securely
fastened

Always turn the machine off before removing the rubbish bin
Never run the machine without the rubbish bin being securely fastened

PHYSICAL CONDITION
Your judgement and/or dexterity may be impaired if you are ill, are taking
medication, and/or have taken alcohol or other substances known to affect the way
you would normally function. Operate this unit if you are in good physical and mental
health.
VIBRATION AND COLD
It 1s believed that a condition called Raynaud's Phenomenon which affects the
fingers of certain individuals is brought about by exposed to vibration and cold. Your
litter collector has shock mounts designed to reduce the intensity of vibration
transmitted through the handles.
Exposure to cold and vibration may cause tingling and burning, followed by loss of
colour and numbness in the fingers. The following precautions are strongly
recommended because the minimum exposure which might trigger the ailment is
unknown.
1. Keep your body warm - especially your hands and wrists.
2. Maintain good blood circulation by performing vigorous arm exercises during
frequent breaks, and also by not smoking.
3. If you are experience discomfort, consult your physician before further
exposing yourself to cold and vibration.
PRECAUTIONS AGAINST REPETITIVE STRESS INJURIES
It 1s believed that over using the muscles and tendons of the fingers, hands,
arms and shoulders may cause soreness, swelling, numbness, weakness and extreme
pain to the areas mentioned.
To reduce the risk of repetitive stress injury, do the following.
Avoid using your wrist in a bent, extended or twisted position.
Try to maintain a straight wrist position.
When grasping try to use your whole hand not just the index finger and thumb.
Take periodic breaks to minimise repetition and rest your hands.
Reduce the speed and force with which you do the repetitive movement.
Do exercises to strengthen hand and arm muscles.
See a doctor if you feel tingling, numbness or pain in your fingers, hands,
wrists or arms.

Fuel mix 33:1 (3%)
1. Never refuel the engine when it is hot or running.
2. Always exercise caution when handling fuel. Ensure caps are tightly fitted to
all fuel tanks and cans.

5. Never store the unit with fuel in the tank - a fuel leak can start a fire.
STARTING A COLD ENGINE
1. Turn both ignition switches to on position.
2. Push purge bulb until fuel is visible in clear fuel return line. During initial
start- up from storage or after running out of fuel additional pumping may be
required to circulate fuel through system.
3. Move choke lever down to closed position and pull start unit until the first
firing sound.
6. Move choke lever up to open position. allow engine to warm up for a few
minutes before using.
STARTING A WARM ENGINE
1. Turn both ignition switches to on position.
2. Pull start unit.
NOTE
If engine does not start after 4 pulls use cold starting procedure.
STOPPING ENGINE
1, Move throttle position lever out to allow engine to idle.
2 Turn 1gnition switch to off.
WARNING ! DANGER
If engine does not stop move choke lever down to closed position to stall
engine. Contact your local dealer before reusing.

GENERAL USE
1. Use only as much throttle as necessary to do the job required so as to reduce
noise.
Ensure vacuum hose 1s free from obstructions for ease of use.
Clean collection bag regularly.

Xe Clean collection bag regularly.
WARNING ! DANGER
Always check that the collection bag is intact and the zipper is closed before
starting the vacuum. Never use a damaged bag. There is risk of injury due to
flying debris. Be careful, particularly if left hand operation is applied. Avoid
any direct contact with the exhaust outlet area.
EMPTYING THE COLLECTION BIN
To empty the bin, simply unclip the vacuum hood and lift from its Supporting
bracket.
Always wear proper clothing to protect exposed parts of your body.

How to Start Your Cub/Back Vac

occurs switch

Vhen using the Cub with a bin liner make sure you place the bin bag
side the wheelie bin THEN slide the bin liner into the bin bag. This will
eep the bag in place while using the cub.
