Product Description
As a Texas Instruments 3rd party we see our customers often
already have TI evaluation kits. These plug-in EM boards are
low cost demo boards for evaluation of Radiocrafts modules
together with TI evaluation boards.
RC2400HP-ZNM-EM demonstrates a high preformance, reliable and compact solution with
CC2530 and CC2591.
RC1180-MBUSx-EM demonstrates the most complete wireless M-Bus solution in the marked.
The RC1180-MBUSx includes a complete embedded wireless M-Bus stack, including HW
AES encryption. Choose between wireless modem software with support for NTA8130/DSMR
according to the Dutch standard, or support for the OMS in Germany and rest of Europe.

Quick Product Introduction RC2400HP-ZNM-EM
The RC2400HP-EM includes a RC2400HP module with embedded ZNM firmware. The
RC2400HP is a very compact and reliable solution for high power ZigBee based on
CC2530+C2591.
The board is shipped with the ZigBee Network Module firmware, but it can also be used as an
HW platform for customers wanting to develop their own firmware inside CC2530.

Using the RC2400HP-ZNM-EM on the SmartRF05 EB, the ZNM UART port is available at the
RS232 connector on the board. This means our PC tool ZNM-CCT can be used with
RC2400HP-ZNM through this port.

Quick Product Introduction RC1180MBUSx-EM
The RC1180MBUSx-EM demonstrates the industry leading wireless M-Bus solution from
Radiocrafts. The RC1180MBUS module is a complete HW and SW solution with HW AES128
encryption and a patent pending message handler.
RC1180-MBUS comes with different firmware feature sets, based on one standard hardware
platform. The form factor, pin-out and interface are the same for all firmware versions. The
MBUS2 feature set is compliant with NTA 8130/DSMR for the Netherlands, and the RC1180MBUS3 feature set to support OMS and MUC compliance according to the German
standardisation work. Custom variation of the module is available on request.

Using the RC1180-MBUSx-EM on the SmartRF05 EB, the UART port is available at the
RS232 connector on the board. This means our PC tools MBUS-CCT and MBUS-DEMO can
be used with RC1180-MBUSx through this port.

Release 1.0 has a PCB inverted F antenna for 2.4GHz that is not recommended to use.

Release 1.0 has an RF line between module and SMA connector that is too narrow (not 50
ohm). This inductive line leads to an extra 1 dB loss at 2.4 GHz and 0.5dB loss for 868 MHz.
