Created the documentation process, and the initial API documentation set for a genomics
information platform (exposed via RESTful Web services). I used Flare.
• Caradigm (Caradigm Health Information Platform) [Contract]
Programmer Writer: September 2012 - March 2013
Produced technical materials for a developer audience creating solutions for the Caradigm Health
Information Platform (formally Amalga Unified Information System). I wrote reference topics for
the Software Development Kit (SDK) and reviewed APIs. Caradigm runs on SharePoint 2013. I
worked with existing C# code samples, JavaScript, XML, and RESTful Web services. I used the
IDE Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010, and the documentation tool Flare.
• Apollo Group (Aptimus Web Marketing Platform) [Contract]
Senior Technical Writer: February 2012 – September 2012
Produced API documentation for RESTful Web services as part of an education platform.
Worked with SQL, Java, XML, and MadCap Flare. I used Eclipse and the build manager, Maven.
• Microsoft (Team Foundation Server / Amalga Health) [Contract]
Senior Technical Writer: October 2007 - February 2008; October 2008 - February 2012
Produced technical materials for Team Foundation Server, part of Microsoft’s Visual Studio
Team System, an Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Material has been published on
installation media as well as MSDN TechNet. For Amalga Health I documented the installation,
configuration, development, and APIs for a medical imaging information system for an enterprise
Health Information System (HIS). Worked with SQL, C#, XML, Web services (SOAP,
RESTful), Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS), and MadCap Flare.
