SECTION 3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
Emergency Overview: CAUTION! Refer to MSDS section 4 – First Aid Measures; section 5 – Fire
Fighting Measures; Section 8 – Exposure Controls & Personal Protection; and Section 10 –
Stability & Reactivity.
SECTION 4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Eyes: Remove contact lenses, flush immediately with plenty of cool running water, continue to
flush for 15 minutes, consult physician if irritation persists.
Skin: Wash thoroughly with plenty soap & water, flush skin with cool running water, Consult
physician if irritation persists.
Ingestion: Consult a physician.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air; consult a physician if rapid recovery does not occur.
Advice to physicians: Treat symptomatically.
SECTION 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Extinguishing Media: Foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide.
Fire Fighting Procedures: Self contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing should
be worn when fighting fires involving chemicals. Containers exposed to heat from fire should
be cooled with water to prevent vapor pressure build-up which could result in container
rupture.

SECTION 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Small Spills: Add inert absorbent material to absorb liquid, sweep up, and dispose of in
accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
Large Spills: Dike to contain and pump into drums for use or dispose of as small spills.
Do not dispose in sewer, soil, or aquatic environment.

SECTION 7. HANDLING & STORAGE
General Measures: Store in cool, dry, ventilated area in original enclosed container out of
Sunlight and /or heat, keep container closed when not in use. As with all chemicals keep away
from heat, flame, sparks, and other ignition sources.
Work/Hygienic Practices: Wash thoroughly after handling and before eating, drinking, etc.
SECTION 8 EXPOSURE CONTROLS and PERSONAL PROTECTION
Work Practices & Engineering Controls: Keep away from ignition sources. Eyewash fountains
and safety showers should be easily accessible.
General Hygienic Practices: Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Avoid breathing vapor,
fumes of mist. Wash thoroughly after handling and before eating, drinking, etc. personal
Protective Equipment: Use chemical resistant/impervious gloves when handling chemicals.
Use safety glasses or goggles when handling chemicals.
