VGA & Stereo Audio CAT5/6 Extender with Chainable Output

VE2AL, VE5AL is designed for VGA plus Stereo Audio signal over cost effective CAT5/6 cable instead of VGA and Audio cable. VE2AL receivers built in chainable output can cascade to the other receiver for a working range of over 300 meters. It has optimal video performance for long cable runs and perfect for multiple monitor display.

This AV Extender is a cost-effective solution and eliminates costly and bulky VGA and Audio cables and the most efficient way to move multimedia content from player to display. The VGA & Audio Extender is ideal in shopping malls, public address systems, airports, train & bus stations, boardrooms, trade shows, and computer based training applications.

VE2AL 1 in 2 Out VGA with Stereo Audio CAT5/6 Extender Distribution Amplifier – Chainable Function

 Extends VGA and stereo audio over one UTP CAT5/6 cable

 Each set includes one VE2ALT transmitter and one VE2ALR receiver

 Supports analog stereo audio

 Transmitter has 3.5mm analog stereo input. RJ45 output is converted to digital audio for better interference rejection over Cat5/6 which is then converted back to analog stereo 3.5mm output on the Receiver side

 Supports up to 1600x1200 @85Hz

 Long range transmission up to 300 meters (Max)

 Dual output: 1 VGA loop output for local, plus 2 x CAT5/6 RJ45 output for remote side

 Built in equalization, gain adjustment, chainable CAT5/6 output at remote unit

 Remote unit can be daisy chained to another VE2ALR receiver to extend working range over 300 meters and multiple displays

 Local unit VE2ALT local output: supports DDC、DDC2、DDC 2B,and provides virtual DDC, DDC backup function, to avoid wrong setting at high resolution/frequency and cause the remote monitor to not display

 Each set includes one VE5ALT transmitter and one VE2ALR receiver

 Dual output: 1 VGA loop output for local, plus 4 x CAT5/6 RJ45 output for remote side

 Each VGA display equipment request one VE2ALR receiver at remote side (Sold separately)

 Same technical specifications as VE2AL above

Blue (front panel): power on/off

Status indication: CH1 – CH4

Green on/off: VGA Signal

Green flash: EDID checksum error

Yellow on: use monitor DDC

Yellow off: use built in DDC

Yellow flash: monitor EDID checksum Error

Yellow, Green, Blue all flash: Memory error

VE2ALT/VE5ALT local unit EDID set up:

Setup Monitor EDID: When the yellow LED is off, press the “SETTINGS” button until the blue LED flashes, then release the “SETTTINGS” button, the yellow LED will be on

Setup Built in EDID: When the yellow LED is on, press the “SETTINGS” button until the blue LED flashes, then release the “SETTTINGS” button, the yellow LED will be off

Reset factory default : First unplug the power, then press the “SETTTINGS” button until power is reconnected and the blue

LED flashes

Auto Backup EDID: Change new monitor. It will start the monitor EDID backup

VE2ALR Remote unit adjustment: RJ45 LED (Link cable connector):

EQ equalization (sharpness) Green: signal lock (LED on)

Gain signal boost (brightness)

Caution:

The cabling must be away from any equipment with electromagnetic waves, i.e.: microwave, radio equipment, and high voltage lines

Installation tips:

1. Due to the inside of CAT5/6 cable being pairs of wires that are twisted at different rates, the different quality on cable itself

AND the installation will cause different signal arrival time at each pair. If there is a big difference at arrival time, this will cause RGB skew status. This is seen on the monitor as separation, or lack of convergence in colors. Normally it happens on long CAT 5/6 cable runs.

2. We recommend referring to the diagram below to reduce skew status, and to add the special made “skew immunized adaptor” if applicable. 2 adaptors included in the package.
