A. OVERVIEW
1. Insert battery pack into telepack and
discuss main screen selections
2. Locate battery symbol. Discuss battery life
3. Locate power button and discuss turning
off:
a. Display
b. Telepack
4. Locate nurse call button. Acknowledge
nurse call from telepack
5. Locate main menu button
a. Discuss exit of menu and submenu
6. Locate ECG and SPO2 connection ports
7. Discuss Touch screen and Touch screen
unlock function (if enabled)

9. Access the following views

10. Locate patient size, device name,

B. BASIC FUNCTIONS
1. Select patient size
2. Attach ECG and SPO2 probe

a. Discuss electrode prep and placement
b. Change Lead from II to I
c. Change size of all leads to 20mm/mV (5
lead cable)
d. Adjust ECG speed to 6.25 mm/ms and
discuss use model
e. Enable pacing function and enhance the
pacemaker pulse with a marked line
f. Check Lead status and discuss alarm
notification/identification of lead off
g. Scroll through waveforms
4. SPO2
a. Locate SPO2 numeric and waveform
area
5. ALARMS
a. Discuss alarm reset
b. Discuss high, medium, low technical
alarm notification.
c. Adjust alarm volume to medium and
touch screen click to low
d. Discuss alarm notification when display
is off
6. Adjust SPO2 color to yellow and ECG to
orange. What happens upon discharge?
7. Place telepack in Standby mode. Return to
normal view
8.
Mark an Event from telepack and print a
Real Time Report
9.
Adjust display to view two rows in portrait
view and three rows in Landscape view
10.
Discuss screen lock (if enabled) and its
affect on alarm notification
11.
Discharge the patient.
C. ADVANCE FUNCTIONS
1. Adjust display to show waveforms in the
following order:
II, SPO2, I, V, III, AVR, AVL, AVF
2. Adjust display brightness to mid level
3. Enable Systole beep to low

1. Adjust device name and hospital
department
2. Import/Export system settings
