MDAQ differential conditioners
The D300 model is compatible with our MDAQ
differential conditioners. You may choose any two of
the MDAQ-SUB 8-channel conditioners to be installed
on the front panel, with BNC or DSUB connectors.
The most popular MDAQ-SUB is the STG-D, which
is a strain/bridge universal type signal conditioner,
because in addition to handling any kind of strain
gage and low voltage by itself, it also accepts our MSI
multiple sensor adapters, which convert each input
to something different, such as IEPE accelerometers,
charge accelerometers, ±200V signals, RTDs, and
even high bandwidth thermocouples.
But there are other MDAQ-SUBs, including 8 channel
IEPE accelerometers, 8 channels of voltage from ±125
mV to ±200V, and more.
SC4 ISOLATED signal conditionERS
When configured for SC4 conditioners, you can pick
any four of our ISOLATED 4-channel conditioners,
for a total of 16 inputs.
There are SC4 conditioners for different voltage
levels, different strain gage conditioners in full or half
bridge, with various thermocouples, and more.
EPAD2 series conditioners can be added to either
version, allowing you to expand your D300 to more
channels, adding slow channels for temperature, as
well as DC voltages and currents, in blocks of eight
channels.

strain gage, and four voltage inputs. All are isolated to 1500Vrms.
D3PC-4 and D3PC-8 models
The smallest DEWETRON systems ever made are
these two:
The D3PC-4 features four IEPE/low-voltage inputs
and an advanced counter input.
The D3PC-8 features eight IEPE/low-voltage inputs,
two advanced counter inputs, 8 DIO lines ... and
you can expand this model to have two CAN BUS
interfaces and more digital inputs/counters. You can
also sync multiple systems together to make a larger
channel count system!

The four inputs can be used with IEPE microphones to measure SOUND very accurately.

effects of vibration on human subjects. Ideal
for machinery, vehicles, and other applications.
With the synchronous counter input and four

If you want to configure the D300-16 with SC4
isolated signal conditioning, simply select any four
of the SC4 conditioners, which include the 0.5U high
panel that the connectors are mounted on, as well as
the conditioners that are installed inside the system.
You can choose any combination of SC4 modules,
including all four the same, or all different, etc. Most
SC4 conditioners are isolated to 1500V RMS.

Expansion via analog cable
A very popular way of expanding the analog
inputs is to upgrade the ORION card from 16
to 32 dynamic channels, then connect external
signal conditioning amplifiers via an analog cable.
Simply upgrade the D300-16 to have 32 A/D
channels inside via either the UP-ORION-16-22-32
(22-bit @ 100 kS/s/ch) or the UP-ORION-1616-32
option (16-bit @ 100 kS/s/ch), then add an
external 16 channel conditioning chassis and
cable. Choose from MDAQ or DAQ / HSI series
plug-in conditioners.

Expansion via PCI bridge
The PCI expansion is an alternative especially if high channel count
is needed. The best mainframe to use is the D3PC computer chassis,
which has no inputs of its own, but it will contain the PCI bridge card
and run the whole system. The DEWE-50, DEWE-51 and DEWE-52 ADC
racks can be connected by a 1m PCI cables. ORION series cards are
installed inside the DEWE-5x unit and you simply have to select the
suitable signal amplifiers for your needs.

Expansion via Ethernet
The NET expansion is a fantastic way to
combine two or more DEWE instruments to
one multichannel system. Each instrument
must have installed hardware option ORIONSYNC and software option DS-OPT-NET.
Synchronization of all units is required too.
There are two ways of synchronization: First is
a simple cable connection for distances up to
200 m, second one is GPS- or DEWE-CLOCK
which is useful for long distances when a
cable connection is not possible. DS-OPTNET software offers full remote setup, online
data transfer up to the limit of the network
connection and offline data transfer between
the instruments.
User tip: The NET expansion also distributes
the data processing load among multiple
computers, each of which can store data at full
speed.
