Instructions: Please read carefully and keep for future
reference. Your childs safety may be affected if you do not
follow these instructions.
Thank you for purchasing this MyChild Mezzo Travel System. Please read the instructions and warnings carefully before you use to ensure safe and satisfactory operation
of this product. Your child’s safety is your responsibility. If you have a query with this
product or require replacement parts, please contact your MyChild retailer.
Lay out the parts on a soft level surface and compare to the part/fixings checklist
below. Do not discard any packaging until you are sure that you have all the parts.
Keep children clear during assembly as pack contains small parts which may present
a choking hazard.

Opening the chassis

Assembling/removing the front wheels

To assemble the front wheels, slide wheel unit over the axle until it
CLICKS into place.

To remove the front wheels, push tab indicated and pull wheel off.

To assemble the rear wheels, push each rear wheel onto axle until
they CLICK into place.

To remove the rear wheels, press the rubber button and pull the
wheel off the axle.

Assembling the rear axle/brake unit

Open the pushchair chassis and turn it upside down. The brake pedals on the
rear axle/brake unit must be on the same side as the handlebars. Slide the axle
joints onto the chassis tubing until the studs CLICK into place.
Applying/releasing the brakes

Press down the brake pedal on the left or right side of the axle with your foot.
Holding the handle, gently push the chassis forwards to ensure the brake is fully
engaged before letting go of the pushchair.

To release the brake, lift the brake pedal on the left or right side of the axle with
the top of your foot.
Folding the chassis

Ensure the brakes are applied on the chassis. Press down on the pedal at the back
(marked on the plastic with ‘1.Press’) with your foot to release the locking bracket.

Simultaneously pull the two sliding buttons on the underside of the chassis tubing
upwards and gently lower the chassis to the ground. The buttons are marked with
these numbered icons.
WARNING: NEVER FORCE THE CHASSIS DOWN. If you feel
resistance to folding, check that the locking bracket is released and
that both sliding buttons have been pulled up

Fitting/removing the adaptors

Adaptors are marked ‘L’ and ‘R’ and correspond to the left and right side joints
of the chassis (as viewed from the front). The adaptors are used to connect the
seat unit or carrycot to the chassis.

Insert the adaptors into the holes in the side joints and press down until they
CLICK into place. Gently tug the adaptors upwards to ensure they are firmly
connected.

If you purchase Maxi Cosi car seat adaptors, you will need to remove these
adaptors before you can fit them. Push the button with your finger and pull the
adaptor upwards to remove.
Fitting/removing the seat unit

To fit the seat in parent facing mode, hold the seat unit so that it is facing the
handle. Locate the the seat joints above the adaptors and push the seat
downwards until it CLICKS into place.
ATTENTION: lift the seat unit to ensure that it is firmly connected to the
chassis adaptors.

To remove the seat, grip the seat unit on both sides. Use your forefingers to
lift both the release buttons on the outside of the adaptors at the same time.
Lift the seat unit off the adaptors.
Q.
To fit the seat in forward facing mode, hold the seat unit so that it is facing
forward. Locate the the seat joints above the adpators and push the seat
downwards until it CLICKS into place.
ATTENTION: lift the seat unit to ensure that it is firmly connected to the
chassis adaptors.

Fitting the hood

Slide the hood attachment onto the clip on the seat unit frame.

Attach the inside of the hood to the rear of the pushchair seat unit using the
velcro tabs.

To open the hood, pull the hood forward into the open position and press down
the hood tensioners on both sides.
To close the hood, lift the centre of the hood tensioners on both sides of the
hood, then push back.
Fitting/removing the bumper bar

To fit the bumper bar locate the pins at the end of the bumper bar and insert
into the plastic joints on the seat unit and push them firmly until they CLICK
into place. To remove the bumper bar press the buttons on the underside of
the plastic joints on the seat unit and pull the bumper bar out.
Adjusting the backrest
T. Note: ensure the brakes are engaged before
adjusting the seat recline.

Locate the adjuster at the rear of the pushchair. To recline the seat unit, press
the button and slide the adjuster down the webbing whilst holding the seat back
to control the amount the seat reclines. To raise the seat back, press the button
and move the slider up the webbing, pushing the seat forwards until it is in the
desired position.

Adjusting the footrest

To adjust the footrest, simultaneously press the buttons on either side of the
footrest and raise or lower as desired.
Adjusting the handle bar

The handle bar has 3 height positions. To adjust the handle height, press the
button in the centre of the handle bar and lift or push to the desired height.

Clip the shoulder harness strap clips (1) onto the loop of the waist strap
connectors (2) push the waist strap connectors (2) into the buckle (3) until
they CLICK into place. Adjust the sliders on the waist and shoulder straps so
that the harness fits snugly.

To release the harness: using your thumb and forefinger, squeeze the top and
bottom of the waist band connecter (4). The shoulder straps can be unclipped
from the waist straps if necessary (5).

Once the buckles are fully removed, reposition them to the desired height.
The 5 point safety harness is fully adjustable and removable.
There are 2 height points for the shoulder straps and the width is fully adjustable.
To adjust or remove the shoulder straps, undo the harness (see section ‘X’ on
page 6 ).
Open the zip on the rear of the seat unit and locate the buckles.
Thread the buckles from the back of the seat unit through to the front of the
seat unit (Y1) and thread back through to the back of the seat at the
desired setting (Y2).
To ensure the strap is fitted correctly and secure, pull the strap up sharply
(Y3).
The crotch strap can be removed by locating the buckle underneath the
seat and threading it through to the top of seat unit.
The waist straps can be adjusted by pulling the webbing through the buckles
provided until the waist strap is the desired circumference.
WARNING: THE SHOULDER STRAPS CAN BE COMPLETELY REMOVED
FROM THE STROLLER WHEN ADJUSTING THE POSITION. PLEASE
ENSURE THEY ARE SECURE BEFORE USE.

Fitting the raincover

Warning: the raincover is for outdoor
use only. The cover must be removed
or folded back if the child remains in
the pushchair indoors, otherwise the
child may overheat. Fold back or
remove the cover in warm or sunnyweather.
Do not store the cover in your car on
hot days as this may damage your
raincover.
Z1. Fully open the raincover and place over the pushchair seat unit with the hood
fully open. Position the raincover so that the seams line up with the seams of the
pushchair hood. Secure the fastenings around the pushchair seat unit frame. If
your child tends to kick the cover, simply remove the fastenings to avoid
damage to the raincover.
Fitting the footmuff*
*NOTE: The footmuff is not supplied with the Mezzo Travel System. It is an
optional extra and can be purchased from your MyChild retailer. SEE Parts
List on page 1 for details of optional extras.
ATTENTION: adjust the harness on the pushchair so that it fits your child BEFORE
you thread the harness through the footmuff.
1) unclip the shoulder straps from the waist strap connectors and thread them through the desired button
holes in the rear of the footmuff.
NOTE: The shoulder harness straps should be threaded
throught the holes which are at the same height as
your childs shoulders.
2) Unfasten the buckle and pass the crotch strap
through the crotch hole on the rear of the footmuff.
3) Re-fasten the crotch strap buckle and shoulder
harness clips.
4) The front of the apron can be opened or removed
by unfastening the zip around the edge.

Cleaning
The pushchair may be cleaned using warm water with household soap or mild detergent.
Allow it to dry fully, preferably away from direct sunlight.
DO NOT dry clean or use bleach or abrasive cleaners use strong detergent or abrasive
cleaners.
DO NOT iron.
DO NOT tumble dry.
The raincover can be cleaned by sponging with warm water and a mild detergent.
The footmuff is machine washable on a warm, gentle cycle (30 C). Dry flat away from
direct sunlight. DO NOT bleach. DO NOT tumble dry.
Maintenance
Brakes and wheels are subject to wear and should be replaced if necessary. This
can be done by contacting your nearest MyChild Approved retailer.
Only use MyChild Approved Parts.
If any part of your pushchair becomes stiff or difficult to operate, ensure that dirt is
not the cause.
Only use a silicone based lubricant. Oil based lubricants may attract dirt. Avoid
over-spraying as this may encourage the accumulation of dirt. Regular lubrication
of moving parts will extend the life of your pushchair and make opening and
folding easier.
The seat unit, plastic and metal parts must be sponged clean with warm water
and mild detergent. Always allow to dry thoroughly before using or storing.
Do not leave pushchair in direct sunlight for prolonged periods as fabrics may
fade. Never use abrasives, ammonia, bleach or spirit based cleaners. Always store
your pushchair in a dry place.
This product requires regular maintenance. Inspect the locking devices, brakes,
harness assembly, catches, seat adjusters, joints and fittings to ensure they are
secure and in full working order.
Caution
Improper usage or lack of knowledge regarding the instructions can result in
dangerous situations, personal injury or damage to the pushchair.
Completely remove and dispose of all plastic bags and packing materials
before using this product to prevent a possible choking hazard. Use the pushchair at a normal walking speed only. Regular maintenance will increase the
lifecycle of the product.

Safety instructions when using the seat
unit with the pushchair chassis.
Warning: to avoid injury ensure that your child is kept away when unfolding and
folding this product.
Warning: do not let your child play with this product.
Warning: it may be dangerous to leave your child unattended.
Warning: always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist belt.
Warning: parcels, accessories and other items (eg hand bags, shopping bags, etc)
that are placed on the pushchair may cause the unit to become unstable.
Warning: do not lift and carry the pushchair while open with a child in it.
Warning: do not use the pushchair on steep slopes, stairs, escalators, beaches, mud,
etc.
Warning: check that the pram body or seat unit attachment devices are correctly
engaged before use.
Warning: do not allow your child to climb unassisted into the pushchair.
Warning: use the D rings provided for the attachment of a separate safety harness
approved to BS6634.
Warning: ensure that children are clear of moving parts before making adjustments.
Warning: never leave rain covers, hoods and aprons on in indoors and in hot
weather.
Warning: do not use replacement parts or accessories other than those approved
by the manufacturer or retailer.
Warning: the basket weight must not exceed 2kg.
Warning: always apply the brakes when the pushchair is stationary.
Warning: taking children up or down stairs, escalators, steps, steep slopes and
muddy/rough terrain could be dangerous should not be attempted. Any resulting
damage will not be covered under the warranty. Remove your child from the pushchair
for easy carrying to negotiate such hazards, or simply avoid them.
Warning: do not allow children to play with the stroller.
Warning: never assume a driver can see you or your child.
Warning: if your stroller is to be used by someone unfamiliar with it, e.g
grandparents, then show them how it works before letting them use it.
Warning: this pushchair is not suitable for running or skating.
Warning: hold onto your stroller when close to moving vehicles and trains as the
draught from the vehicles may move the stroller even with the brakes on.
Warning: this product is suitable for children from birth to 15kg.
Warning: this product is designed to carry only one person at a time.
