CHANGES
General


We have added the Client Adjustment Transmittal tab to the Actions > Reconcile Bank Accounts
screen. This tab allows you to specify the amount by which the client needs to adjust their bank
account balance. For more information, see Reconciling bank accounts. (Accounting CS Ideas
Community, Idea 54)
We have addressed the following issues.
 In certain circumstances, the application closed unexpectedly during attempts to delete a client
record in the Setup > Clients screen or a client template in the Setup > Client Templates screen.
®
 The application used an incorrect folder date in the FileCabinet CS folder tree when certain
reports or letters were printed that did not include a date selection or that used the All date
selection in the File > Print Reports screen.
 In certain circumstances, the application unexpectedly disabled the ID field for a new check
transaction in the Actions > Enter Transactions screen.
 In certain circumstances, the application did not import payroll check transactions via the Import
Client Data Wizard when QuickBooks was selected as the source.

Accounting
Accounts payable
We have addressed an issue that caused the application to close unexpectedly when a distribution for a
transaction was deleted in the Actions > Enter Payables screen.
Workpapers CS™




We have added the Cancel Processing command to the right-click context menu to enable you to
cancel processing for documents that have been transmitted via Source Document Processing.
We have added additional informational warnings that display when a document cannot be
transmitted via Source Document Processing.
We have addressed an issue that caused the application to incorrectly allow the transfer of instruction
pages to Source Data Entry for processing.
We have addressed an issue that caused the application to close unexpectedly when engagement
binders that contained large workpapers were printed to a file.
Reports

We have updated the Bank Account Reconciliation Transmittal report to include optional sections,
including a Client Adjustment Transmittal section that corresponds to the Client Adjustment
Transmittal tab in the Actions > Reconcile Bank Accounts screen. (Accounting CS Ideas Community,
Idea 54)
Note: If your firm has modified the predefined version of a report, an updated version will not
overwrite your existing report. If this is the case, you will need to make the necessary changes to your
customized report manually or you will need to restore the latest predefined version using the Report
Designer. To do the latter, select the report from the Reports list pane in the Report Designer and
then choose File > Restore Default.

We have addressed an issue for General Ledger reports that caused the application to incorrectly
filter GL accounts that included adjusting journal entries in their beginning balance. This occurred
when the Ending balance filter was selected in the Balances tab in the Filtering and Sorting section of
the report options.
Report Designer
We have added the Bank Account Reconciliation > Client Adjustment Transmittal section of variables to
the variable tree.
General – Payroll
We have added the Add CR/LF to the last line of the ACH file checkbox to the Advanced Setup dialog,
which is accessed from the Direct Deposit tab of the Setup > Bank Accounts screen or the Setup > Firm
Information > Impound Bank Accounts screen. When this checkbox is marked, the application includes a
carriage return/line feed (hard return) at the end of the last line of ACH files.
Payroll form and filing information
The Payroll Form and Filing Information portlet on the Home or Firm dashboard provides the following
information: form approval status, form availability, available filing methods, form due dates, form filing
addresses, tax payment information (for all tax types), agency contact information, new hire reporting
information, payroll resources, and tax calendar (to view and print tax deposit due dates and form due
dates for all federal, state, and certain local tax agents). Click the applicable jurisdiction on the map to
display the federal, state, and local tax form information within the tabbed pages in the lower section of
the portlet. For information on working with portlets, enter Dashboard portlet: Payroll Form & Filing
Information in the search field on the application toolbar.
Important! Click here to open a detailed list of v.2014.0.3 additions or updates for new hire files, tax
agents, payroll tax forms, and payroll tax tables.

Accounting CS Payroll, for live payroll processing
In addition to the changes made for general payroll features listed above for after-the-fact payroll
processing, we have made the following changes for the live payroll processing features specific to
Accounting CS Payroll.


We have added the Payroll Tracking portlet to the Firm Dashboard and Staff Dashboard. This new
portlet displays the status of all payrolls that need to be processed. The portlet includes a Reassign
Primary Processor feature, which allows you to assign payrolls when the primary processor is out of
the office. You can use the fields in the Payroll Tracking tab of the Setup > Firm Information > Firm
screen to customize the grid within the portlet. For more information, see Using the Payroll Tracking
portlet. (Accounting CS Ideas Community, Idea 329)
We have addressed an issue that caused the application to display amounts in the Used column of
the Accruable Benefits Balances dialog (accessed from the Accruable Benefits tab of the Setup >
Employees screen) from payroll checks that had been voided, voided and deleted, or reversed and
deleted.
Live payroll reports
We have added the Payroll Tracking Summary firm report, which provides information from the new
Payroll Tracking portlet that is available in the Firm Dashboard and/or Staff Dashboard.
Note: Only staff members who are in security groups with access to the Report Designer are
automatically granted access to new reports. You will need to update other security groups to grant
permission to access new reports. To do that for each applicable security group, mark the checkboxes for
the appropriate reports in the Reports tab of the Setup > Firm Information > Security Groups screen
and/or the Setup > Firm Information > Client Security Groups screen.
Report Designer
We have added the Client > Payroll Tracking section of variables to the variable tree.
