1 Lock wheels.

 Press down the lever on two or more wheels.

2 Attach column to base.

1 Orient the back of the column with the back of the base.

The back of the base has the SonoSite logo.

The back of the column has a lever at the top.

2 Without pinching the cords, slide the column onto the two pegs on the base. Place the cords in the side grooves of the column.

3 Insert the Allen bit into the magnetic wrench.

4 Place a 12mm Allen-head screw onto the magnetic wrench.

Placing the screw onto the magnetic wrench helps prevent it from falling into the stand.

3 Insert the four cups: Align the grooves and press into place.

4 Insert the small end of a hook into the slot at the front of the system platform, and push it down into place. Repeat for other side.

5 Insert the screw into the hole at the lower front of the column, and tighten.

The last few turns require additional force because of a special coating on the screws. The coating helps prevent them from coming loose.

4 Insert system and attach mini-dock.

1 Insert the ultrasound system:

a Rotate system latches outward.

b Place the ultrasound system on the system platform, ensuring that the transducer cable is positioned between the handles of the stand.

c Secure the system by rotating the system latches inward.

2 Attach the mini-dock if using AC-powered peripherals:

a Place the mini-dock on the system platform.

b Slide the mini-dock feet under the ultrasound system, and firmly press the mini-dock into the

I/O connector on the back of the system.

The mini-dock is correctly attached when there is no gap between the system and mini-dock.

b Insert the back plate of the cord hook into the lower opening of the column side, oriented as below.

The first cord hook faces upward, and the second faces downward.

The edges of the back plate grip the column.

Insert the hooks on whichever side of the column best suits your setup (for example, has more space).

c Slide the hook up the column to the desired location, and then tighten the screw using a

Phillips screwdriver.

Tip:  As you slide the hook, pull it toward you to maintain proper orientation.

2 Connect the system power cord (K) to a hospitalgrade electrical outlet.

6 Secure cables.

1 Remove cord catches from column sides: Turn catches counter-clockwise and pull.

2 Place the system cable (and any other cables, such as accessory cables) into the groove on either side of the column.

3 Attach each cord hook:

The cord hooks are for holding the system cord when not in use.

a Assemble the cord hook with a screw and back plate as below:

Installed cord hooks.

The first points upward, and the second downward.

4 Re-attach cord catches: Insert each cord catch into the side slot on the column where desired, and turn clockwise to secure.

Cord catches help to keep the cables in the column.
