EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR
•Distinctive styling – Equinox’s overall appearance conveys a
high level of sophistication and capability. With a dual-port
grille, air dam-equipped front fascia, wraparound headlamps,
wheels-in-the-corners stance, flared wheel openings and
large wheels, there’s an overall look that’s both dynamic
and upscale.
•Forward Collision Alert – Monitors the distance and
approaching speed to vehicles in front of the driver. If the
distance between the vehicles is becoming too short, a
tailgating warning is displayed. If the system identifies the
potential for an imminent collision, both visual and audible
warnings are provided. The system allows the driver to select
their preferred level of system sensitivity. Bundled with
Lane Departure Warning and Rear Park Assist in the new
Safety Package.
•Lane Departure Warning – For roadways that have marked
lanes, this feature will warn drivers of an inadvertent lane
change. When a lane change is being made without the use of
the turn signal, both visual and audible warnings are provided.

their vehicle information and OnStar services right from
their smartphones. The myChevrolet and OnStar RemoteLink
mobile apps, available as free downloads, provide drivers
with unprecedented connectivity to their vehicles from their
Android or Apple iPhone device.
­– The myChevrolet app helps locate the nearest dealer,
schedule routine maintenance and contact roadside
assistance quickly and easily. With its helpful Find My Car
feature, you can mark parking spots and set parking meter
alarms. The myChevrolet app also includes a direct link to
the OnStar mobile app.
­– The OnStar RemoteLink app puts unprecedented control
in the Equinox owner’s hands by remotely accessing the
vehicle’s OnStar technologies. Owners can send remote
vehicle commands such as unlocking or locking doors
and starting the engine. In addition, owners access key
diagnostic information, including fuel tank level and
range, remaining oil life, current and recommended tire
pressure and lifetime average miles per gallon. The OnStar
RemoteLink app requires an active OnStar subscription.
It’s important to note that the OnStar RemoteLink
smartphone integration is not available with the Color
Touch Navigation Radio.
•Adaptive Remote Vehicle Start – Allows Equinox to be started
from over 195' away. Using the automatic climate control, the
system can automatically begin to heat or cool the interior to
a preset temperature. It can even turn on the available heated
seats if selected from the vehicle personalization menu.

AUDIO AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS

POWER & PERFORMANCE
•Ecotec 2.4L SIDI I4 DOHC engine – Standard on all models,
this engine is highly efficient and uses the latest in engine
technology to ensure maximum performance and fuel
economy. Features include Spark Ignition Direct Injection
(SIDI), extensive use of aluminum in its structure and dual
balance shafts to reduce engine-related vibration. Variable
Valve Timing (VVT) is used to enhance efficiency and power
throughout the operating range. The 2.4L engine is rated at:
– 182 hp @ 6700 rpm.
– 172 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4900 rpm.
• 3.6L SIDI V6 engine – Available on LT and LTZ. This is the most
powerful V6 engine in this class of vehicle, yet its estimated
fuel economy is the same as the 2012 V6. Features include SIDI
as well as VVT for enhanced power and efficiency. The 3.6L is

to provide maximum fuel economy (4-cylinder models).
