The MM232R is a mini development module for the FT232RQ IC
device. It is a little bigger than a USB connector, and provides USB
- Serial UART interface in a extremely small form factor. It is ideal
for adding a USB interface to existing product designs. Based on
the FT232RQ device, the MM232R supports RTS/CTS hardware
handshaking and is powered from the USB port. Serial data
communication is possible at up to 3MBaud at TTL level. In
addition, some of the EEPROM configurable CBUS pins of the

The Embedded Development Platform (EDP) Baseboard (or
“motherboard”) consists of four "stations", with a minimum
configuration of motherboard with a single plug-in processor
module. All four stations are identical, and there are many
permutations of processor modules and application modules

EDP ARM mbed Carrier Module
This Embedded Development Platform (EDP) mbed module
introduces a new way to write embedded firmware. Instead
of having a C/C++ compiler license installed on your machine,
the mbed module makes use of a compiler installed on a
virtual host. Your software and project are built within the
framework of an HTML page. The compilation is done
remotely on your behalf, and the resulting binary image file is
transferred to you and stored on the mbed module. By
rebooting the module the new image is flashed into the
hardware and it then runs your application code. An mbed
module plugs into the EDP mbed carrier board, which in turn
fits the RS-EDP Baseboard providing access to application
modules on the EDP system.

EDP BLDC Motor Control Module
This Embedded Development Platform (EDP) twin motor
drive module is capable of handling two motors rated up to
4A at 24V. This EDP module supports both brushed DC
motors, and brushless DC motors and is based on Microchip
dsPIC33FJ family devices. One dsPIC is dedicated to each
motor.
