Reliability and Ease of Maintenance
Efficient Installation of the Latest HD/SD Modules
The UFH series is designed to hold modules from the HD/SD module product lineup. Two types of frames are
available depending on the number of installed modules and installation space. The UFH-112A can hold up to 12
modules, and the UFH-108A can hold up to 8 modules.
Alarm
UFH frames include a power supply and fan alarm outputs. They can be used for alarm signal output to external
devices and also for verifying the status at the front LEDs.
Genlock Input
UFH frames include a genlock input. This enables the distribution of genlock signals to the various modules
installed in the frame, eliminating the need of an external genlock source for the installed modules.
Supports Hot-swapping of Power Supply and Modules
The UFH series supports hot-swapping of a power supply and modules installed in the frame. This enables
internal modules to be added or changed and the power supply to be replaced without turning off the power to
the frame. This is a powerful maintenance feature for operation in a system.
Supports Duplicate Power Supply for Redundancy
The UFH frame supports power supply duplication. This enables operation redundancy when using the system.
Enables Installation of UFM Series Modules
UFH frames enable installation of UFM series modules, which expand the SD product lineup. Installation of the
dedicated expansion unit also enables installation in UFH frames.

UFH-108A
Holds up to 8 UFH modules
The UFH-108A frame can hold up to 8 UFH
modules. It features support for duplicate
power supplies, and has a compact size that is
only 2U high. It also supports installation of
UFM series modules.
UFH-112A
Holds up to 12 UFH modules
The UFH-112A frame can hold up to 12 UFH
modules. It features support for duplicate
power supplies, and has a compact size that is
only 3U high. It also supports installation of
UFM series modules.
