Closed Issues
The table lists closed issues in version 1.3.0 of TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Framework.
Key
Summary
ADF-3179
When deploying the EAR file, the property values were different from those in
adapter TRA file.
ADF-3089
TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter for Files for Unix/Win 7.0.0 stopped when
specifying the Provider URL field with any global variable other than
JmsProviderUrl.
ADF-3059
The adapteragent failed to start when setting the encrypted password for the EMS
server connection in the adapter hawkagent configuration file.
ADF-3079
When using a group to invoke the Invoke an Adapter Request Response Server
activity in a loop, the info message of the activity was duplicated in the adapter
logs.
ADF-3062
When using the Invoke an Adapter Request Response Server activity to invoke an
RFC/BAPI in the SAP system, if execution time was too long, a memory leak error
occurred in the ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks application.
ADF-3003
If the IDoc schema was prefixed with a slash character, and publish mode was
explode or exploded batch, the Output Editor tab became read-only for the
Adapter Subscriber and Publish to Adapter activities.
ADF-2999
If one of the three native adapters (TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter for SAP, TIBCO
ActiveMatrix® Adapter for Database, TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Files for
Unix/Win) was created in an ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 6.2.0 project, you could
not add another type of adapter configuration in the same project successfully. For
example, you could not add a TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database adapter
configuration successfully in TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Files for Unix/Win
project.
ADF-2848
When applications were running on multiple adapter nodes, you could not stop the
app space in which the adapter nodes were located.
ADF-2483
After deleting a domain that included an app space successfully, if you created a
new domain and an app space with the same name, the following error occurred:
AppSpace [appspacename] already exists with agent [agentname]
ADF-2452
After you migrated a TIBCO ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks 5 project to TIBCO
Business Studio, the adapter activity mappings for the following data types were
not migrated correctly:
●
Boolean
●
Integer
●
base64Binary
●
unsigned Integer

10
Key
Summary
ADF-2435
After stopping a running app space, the status of the adapter nodes in the app
space was unreachable.
ADF-2386
The -force option could not delete a running adapter node or app space by force.
ADF-2342
When an app space, its adapter nodes, and its applications were running by using
the force option, if you deleted a domain, the undeployment and deployment
operations of the adapter admin utility did not work.
ADF-2310
The Save button was disabled occasionally when you modified project data.
ADF-2302
The JNDI connection type for configuring a JMS connection did not work.
ADF-2053
On Windows, after you stopped an adapteragent using the stop command, the
adapteragent failed to restart unless all adapter processes that were started by it
were also stopped.

11
Known Issues
The table lists known issues in version 1.3.0 of TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter Framework.
Key
Summary
ADF-3173
Summary: Two user name/password field pairs are displayed when you select
JNDI as the connection factory type in the JMS session of an adapter configuration.
For authentication only, the second pair is used and the first one is ignored by the
JMS server or the adapter.
Workaround: None.
ADF-3170
Summary: For TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database, when specifying a field
in the database table with a null value, the following error of the Invoke Request
Response Server activity occurs:
TIBCO-BW-CORE-500064: Activity
[InvokeanAdapterRequest-
ResponseServer] error
Workaround: Use non-null values for the fields in the database table.
ADF-3115
Summary: When you run an adapter in the Adapter Administration console, if a
startup error occurs, the error is not displayed in the adapter log.
Workaround: Run the adapter on a command line, fix the startup errors, and then
run the adapter in the Adapter Administration console.
ADF-3113
Summary: If you click File > Import > Migrate BW Projects in TIBCO Business
Studio to migrate a TIBCO ActiveMatrix Businessworks 5 project, the
BusinessWorks processes and applications in the original project are missing.
Workaround: To migrate a TIBCO ActiveMatrix Businessworks 5 project in TIBCO
Business Studio, click Migrate BW Projects from the Project menu.
ADF-3058
Summary: You cannot enter a value in the Connection Factory field of the JNDI
connection.
Workaround: You can specify the custom connection factory name in the generated
EAR file. Alternatively, you can navigate to the factories.conf file of the EMS server
and do the desired configuration in the TopicConnectionFactory or
QueueConnectionFactory section.
ADF-2996
Summary: When using an ActiveMatrix BusinessWorks process to send messages
to Subscription Service, if a column data type in the process is int, you cannot set
negative numbers for the column.
Workaround: You can set a negative number in this format: xsd:int(). For
example, xsd:int(-123).
This workaround does not work for the i1 and i2 date types in TIBCO
ActiveMatrix Adapter for SAP (TIBCO Business Studio).

12
Key
Summary
ADF-2988
Summary: When you rename an adapter configuration in the Instance Id field (in
the Configuration tab), the adapter component name is not updated
synchronously in the Components panel. When you generate and deploy an EAR
file with the renamed adapter configuration, the renamed adapter configuration is
not displayed in the appspace.
Workaround: After renaming the adapter configuration, you can delete the original
adapter component (in the Components tab of the Module Descriptors folder),
and add the renamed adapter component.
ADF-2987
Summary: When an Invoke an Adapter Request-Response Server activity processes
messages, if an adapter does not return a reply to the process in a certain time, the
Adapter Request-Response Server activity throws a timeout exception.
Workaround: None.
ADF-2744
Summary: After refreshing the AE schema at the service level, the XSD schema
does not refresh synchronously.
Workaround: Delete the activity reference. Reference the service to the activity and
map the activity field again.
ADF-2693
Summary: The value for any variable that is of the anyType AE Schema data type
is not set in the Input tab of the adapter activities.
Workaround: To set the value of the variable, you have to substitute its type with
Simple Type and select the appropriate type that suits your requirements from the
ae2xsd.xsd file. And then specify the value of anyType fields manually as
xsd:data_type(data_value). For example, if you select the string type in the
Type panel, input xsd:string(“1”) in the anyType field. If you select the i4 type
in the Type panel, input xsd:int(1) in the anyType field.
For detailed procedures, see the "Handling the anyType AE Data Type" section in
TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for Database (TIBCO Business Studio) User’s Guide.
ADF-2378
Summary: When migrating a business process that references an adapter
configuration using a fixed decimal data type, the adapter palette activity
referencing the adapter service interprets the decimal with an additional precision
(for example, 94304 is shown as 94304.0).
Workaround: Add a Mapper activity after the problematic adapter activity to
truncate and convert the decimal output to a string. See TIBCO Active matrix
BusinessWorks Bindings and Palette Reference for information about how to use a
Mapper activity.
ADF-2374
Summary: The adapter admin agent does not populate the TIBCO Enterprise
Administration Server URL and register the TIBCO Enterprise Administration
agent.
Workaround: Use the registerteaagent command to display the URL correctly.
ADF-2285
Summary: The Update Adapter Configuration function does not work for
supported non-native adapters.
Workaround: None.

Key
Summary
ADF-1436
Summary: The SSL over JMS transport for adapter services does not work.
Workaround: None.
