Composite Video signals from cameras or other video sources onto one video screen for simultaneous displaying and recording. It has real-time image refresh and digital image processing for superior performance. Select between 30 or 60 fields per second. Video Inputs are via

BNC connectors.

Composite Video Outputs are provided for a monitor and a

VCR to allow recording of the output. Because the unit has a built-in Time Base Corrector, it does not require special cameras or external synchronization. All four video inputs will be synchronized. The AVT-8120 is ideal for security monitoring or video preview applications where multiple images are required in a limited space. Power Supply is included.

Picture-in-Picture capability and a built in tuner. With

The WUXGA Scaler turns any Computer Monitor into a true multimedia center by merging your computer with a wide variety of external video and audio devices.

It accepts external video and audio from a video game,

VS-612 CV/SV to HDMI Up Converter converts standard definition analog Composite or S-Video signals to digital

HDTV version 1.3 HDMI signals. It will also provide a compliant DVI signal with an appropriate adapter cable. It provides a way to embed analog stereo audio signals into the HDMI Datastream and has extensive signal conditioning capabilities including 3D (Frame Based) noise reduction, block noise reduction and MPEG noise reduction. AVT-3900 HDMI Video Scaler

AVT-3900 HDMI Scaler accepts inputs of HDMI and DVI up to 1080p, PC up to WUXGA@60Hz, HD Component signals (YPbPr/YUV, 480i up to 1080p), S-Video and

Composite Video. It scales these signals to provide a fully compliant HDMI output up to 1080p resolution. The scaling engine processes the selected input signal and delivers an

HDMI V1.2 output. The unit is HDCP compliant. Standard features include 3-D Motion Adaptive De-interlacing, 3:2

Pull-Down and 3-D Noise Reduction.

AVT-3190 HDTV Down Converter allows you to view

HDTV YPbPr Component Video signals on standard NTSC or PAL video monitors or TV Sets. It also converts standard PC signals to analog video. Outputs are simultaneously provided in Composite, S-Video and YUV formats, as well as PC or HDTV Pass-thru.

The aspect ratio can be switched between wide screen and standard display. The AVT-3190 can handle any HD signal up to 1080i and convert it to standard analog video.

VS-223 YPbPr Component Down Converter

VS-223 Down Converter is designed to convert a variety of analog HDTV images, ranging from 480p to 1080p resolution, to interlaced NTSC or PAL Video outputs. It provides both Composite Video and S-Video output signals and also incorporates a YPbPr bypass feature which allows the user to choose either analog component HDTV images or standard definition images as desired. The unit is ideal for situations where the available monitors are capable of displaying only Composite Video or S-Video signals but the source material is available only in component HDTV formats.

CTB-530TR Time Base Corrector is a high performance device to correct time base errors in videotape playback or stabilize most video signals. The unit’s dual inputs, with front panel switch selection, provide added flexibility. The device handles NTSC, PAL-B, D, G, I, K, M, N & SECAM.

LIMITED WARRANTY – With the exceptions noted in the next paragraph, AV Toolbox warrants the original purchaser that the equipment it manufactures or sells will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. Should this product, in AV Toolbox’s opinion, prove defective within this warranty period, AV Toolbox, at its option, will repair or replace this product without charge. Any defective parts replaced become the property of AV Toolbox. This warranty does not apply to those products which have been damaged due to accident, unauthorized alterations, improper repair, modifications, inadequate maintenance and care, or use in any manner for which the product was not originally intended.

Items integrated into AV Toolbox products that are made by other manufacturers, notably computer hard drives and liquid crystal display panels, are limited to the term of the warranty offered by the respective manufacturers. Such specific warranties are available upon request to AV Toolbox.

If repairs are necessary under this warranty policy, the original purchaser must obtain a Return Authorization Number from AV

Toolbox and return the product to a location designated by AV Toolbox, freight prepaid. After repairs are complete, the product will be returned, freight prepaid.

LIMITATIONS - All products sold are "as is" and the above Limited Warranty is in lieu of all other warranties for this product, expressed or implied, and is strictly limited to one year from the date of purchase. AV Toolbox assumes no liability to distributors, resellers or end-users or any third parties for any loss of use, revenue or profit.

AV Toolbox makes no other representation of warranty as to fitness for the purpose or merchantability or otherwise in respect of any of the products sold. GLOSSARY OF TERMS

3G-SDI – a Serial Digital Interface used for 1080p50/59.94/60 video signals running at 2.97GHz.

4:4:4 - means that the three component signals (luminance Y and the two difference signals U and V, also known as Pb and Pr) are sampled at the same rate as each other.

4:2:2 - means that the three component signals (are sampled differently, with U and V sampled at half the rate of the Y signal.

4:1:1 - means that the three component signals are sampled differently, with U and V sampled at a quarter the rate of the Y signal.

AES3-id - An AES Audio subset for broadcast applications and long distance runs using a 1v peak-peak signal over an unbalanced coaxial cable.

AES3 Audio - AES3 (Audio Engineering Society) is the name of a digital audio transfer standard, carrying a stereo signal.

Alpha Channel - An extra video layer channel sometimes used in the keying process.

Analog - A system whereby brightness, loudness or color is represented by a varying voltage with no limits to resolution.

Ancillary Data - Non-video content within an SDI signal used for embedded audio, closed captions, etc.

Artifacts - Spurious bits of unwanted information resulting from analog to digital conversion, or from digital manipulation and compression.

Aspect Ratio - The width-to-height ratio of an image, usually expressed with integer values.

ATSC - Advanced Television Systems Committee, an over-the-air broadcast system for digital television in the US and Canada.

Audio Breakaway - The ability to separate audio signals for switching independently of video.

Audio Follow Video - A term used when audio is tied to a video signal and then switched together.

AutoSet - TV One’s proprietary technology that automatically sizes and positions the computer image to fit exactly on the display.

AV, A/V - Audio Visual or Audio Video.

Balanced Audio - A method of interconnecting audio equipment using impedance-balanced lines, usually via a twisted-pair cable.

Bandwidth - A measure of the width of a range of frequencies a device will pass, measured in Hertz: or a rate of data transfer, measured in samples per second.

Black & burst - An analog composite video signal with no active video information but with a color sub-carrier present, often used to genlock signals.

Black Level - the DC voltage or IRE level of the video signal that corresponds to a black picture.

BNC Connector - A twist and lock type of connector commonly used for coaxial cable.

Chroma Key - A technique for mixing two images together, in which a color from one image is removed (or made transparent), revealing another image behind it.

Chrominance Channel - The element of a video signal containing the color information.

Closed Captioning - A means of transporting hidden text information within the video signal.

Coaxial Audio - Digital audio transmission that uses an electrical cable consisting of an inner conductor and outer screen.

Color Subcarrier - The color reference signal that is part of an analog composite video signal.

Communications Protocol - The set of standard rules for data transmission.

Comb Filter - A sophisticated filtering method used in decoding a composite video signal to separate its Luminance and Chrominance components.

Component Video (YUV, YPbPr) – An analog video signal in its component form with Luminance and Color signals separated.

Composite Video - An all in-one video signal comprised of the luma (black and white), chroma (color), blanking pulses, sync pulses, and color burst

Cross Conversion - A method of scaling between different resolutions, i.e. XGA to WUXGA.

Digital - A system of data or image values in the form of discrete, non-continuous codes, such as binary.

DLP - Digital Light Processing, a technology used in light projection.

Down Conversion - The process of decreasing the resolution of an image.

Dual Channel - Two processing engines that allow two sources to be processed within one unit.

Dual Link DVI - A method of combining 2 DVI links to transmit double the amount of data for supporting higher resolutions.

Dual Link HD-SDI - SMPTE 424M standard (2.970Gbps) capable of 1080p, by combining 2 HD-SDI links.

DV (Digital Video) - A compressed video format popular with camcorders, also called IEEE1394.

DVI - Digital Video Interface, a standard designed to transmit a digital signal of four twisted pairs of wire (R, G, B and Clock) to transmit 24 bits per pixel.

DVI-A - Digital Video Interface analog connection, a DVI standard containing only analog information

DVI-D - Digital Video Interface digital connection, a DVI standard containing only digital information

DVI-I - Digital Video Interface integrated connection, a DVI standard containing both analog and digital information

Edge-blending - A method used to create brighter, wider, taller or larger displays using multiple video/data projectors to display a single image.

Embedded Audio - Audio enclosed within the video stream, primarily in HDMI and SDI.

EQ (Equalization) - A method of compensating for high frequency loss in long cable runs.

Firmware - Digital program / system data that is embedded in a hardware device.

Format Conversion (Transcoding) - A method of converting one signal type to another without increasing or decreasing the image resolution.

Genlock - A technique of synchronizing separate video sources together.

GHz - GigaHertz, a unit for frequency measurement; 1GHz=1,000,000,000Hz.

Gbps - Gigabits per second, a unit of data transfer rate; 1Gbps=1,000,000,000 bits per second.

HD, High Definition - Video system of higher resolution than standard definition video, most commonly at display resolutions of 720p, 1080i or 1080p

HD-SDI - High Definition Serial Digital Interface, a high definition digital video interface used for broadcast-grade video - at 1.485Gbps.

HDMI - High Definition Multimedia Interface, a compact audio/video connector interface for transmitting uncompressed digital streams.

HDCP - High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection, a digital video encryption method to prevent unauthorized duplication of copyrighted video material

HDTV - High Definition Television, a digital television broadcasting system with greater resolution than traditional television systems.

Interlaced - A method of doubling the vertical resolution on a display by alternately displaying the odd and even scan lines.

IP - Internet Protocol.

IRE - (Institute of Radio Engineers). A measure of video level (voltage), where 100 is peak-white level and 0 is black level (-40 being sync tip).

Jitter - A term referring to instability in a signal (usually referring to a clock).

Keying - A term for compositing two full frame images together, by discriminating the visual information into values of color and light: See also Chroma Key and Luma Key.

Layer - Referring to each individual image when multiple images are placed on one screen, such as a background video input, two windows containing video and logos etc.

LCD - Liquid Crystal Display, a is a thin, flat display device made up of any number of color or monochrome pixels arrayed in front of a light source or reflector.

Lock source - Defines the original synchronization source used while genlocking or mixing two video signals.

Loop-thru - A feature that allows the video signal to be passed through a device unprocessed and sent to a local monitor or other device.

Luma Key - Applies transparency to regions (pixels) in an image which fall into a particular range of brightness, usually to reveal an background image.

Luminance Channel - The component of a video signal carrying the black and white information.

Matrix Switcher - An electronic device that accepts and distributes video (and/or audio) signals selected from multiple inputs and multiple outputs.

Mbps - Megabits per Second, a unit of data transfer rate; 1Mbps=1,000,000 bits per second.

MHz - MegaHertz, a unit for frequency measurement; 1MHz=1,000,000Hz

Mix - The combining of two images on a single output, e.g. Picture in Picture.

Multimedia - Any combination of multiple visual and aural media.

Multi-viewer - A term used for a device that allows viewing of multiple images in windows on a single screen.

Non-volatile Memory - A chip within a piece of hardware that can store and retain settings even when the unit is switched off.

NTSC, PAL, SECAM - Analog television video standards used in various countries.

Ohm - A measure of resistance or impedance in components, connectors or cables.

Operating Temperature Range - The prescribed ambient temperature range for proper equipment operation.

Operating Humidity Range - The prescribed relative humidity range for proper equipment operation.

Overlay - An image is placed on top of another image and the top image is partly Keyed to reveal the source in the background.

PC - Personal Computer.

PCI/ISA - A computer bus for attaching peripheral devices or cards to a computer motherboard.

PIP - Picture-in-Picture, when one image is displayed as full screen at the same time as another image is displayed in an inset window.

Progressive Scan - A method of displaying an image on a screen in a path similar to text on a page: line by line, from top to bottom.

Resolution - The number of horizontal and vertical pixels within an image.

RF - Radio Frequency, frequencies high enough to be transmitted in free space.

RGB, RGBHV, RGBS, RGsB - An analog video signal containing separate chroma information (Red, Green and Blue), embedded sync (RGsB) or separate sync (RGBS).

RS-232 - A standard for serial binary data signals connecting between a DTE (Data terminal equipment) and a DCE (Data Circuit-terminating Equipment).

RU - Rack Units, a unit of measure for vertical space in equipment racks; 1 RU = 1.75" (44.5mm).

S-Video, (YC) - An analog video format that keeps luminance and chrominance separate.

Sample Rate Conversion - Increasing or decreasing the number of samples per second - usually for audio signals.

Scaling - The process of changing the resolution or size of an image.

Scan Conversion - A technique for changing or decreasing the vertical/horizontal scan frequency of a video signal .

SD - Standard Definition

SDI - Serial Digital Interface, a digital video interface used for broadcast-grade video.

SDTV - Standard Definition Television, a legacy television system that has normal resolution as opposed to newer HDTV or other forms of enhanced definition formats.

Seamless Switching - A feature that prevents source signal switching from being observed on an output.

Signal-to-Noise Ratio (S/N) - A logarithmic unit of measure comparing the level of the desired signal to the level of noise; generally, the higher the S/N, Ratio, the better.

Single Link DVI - A digital transmission system of four twisted pairs of wire (R, G, B and Clock) to transmit 24 bits per pixel.

SMPTE 259M - Standard Definition SDI (Serial Digital Interface) standard.

SMPTE 292M - High Definition SDI standard.

S/PDIF - Sony/Philips Digital Interconnect Format, an audio standard very similar in format to AES3-id, but usually at different voltage levels and different embedded information.

Storage Temperature Range - The prescribed ambient temperature range for safe storage.

Storage Humidity Range - The prescribed relative humidity range for safe storage.

Terminals (Terminal Blocks) - A convenient means of connecting individual electrical wires, by baring their ends and using a screw-down clamp.

THD - Total Harmonic Distortion, a measure of audio quality.

TOSLINK Audio - Digital audio transmission that uses an optical cable to pass audio information between devices

Transition - One image is replaced by another via a smooth fade and/or wipe change.

Tri-Level Sync - Describes the synchronization signal type present on HDTV YPbPr signals. It is used to provide a more accurate synchronization when decoding HDTV.

Twisted-pair cable - two differential signals are sent over two wires twisted together, such that noise on one allows cancellation of the noise at the receiver.

Unbalanced Audio - An audio signal that is carried on two wires (or three wires for stereo pair) with one wire at ground potential.

Up Conversion - The process of increasing the resolution of an image.

UTP - Unshielded Twisted Pair, also referred to as Cat.5/5E or Cat.6.

Vertical Interval - The beginning lines of the video signal that is not visible on the screen.

Vertical Interval Switching - Changing between two synchronized video sources in the unseen vertical interval to avoid visual glitches.

Video Wall - An array of displays configured to show a single image spread over all displays.

Widescreen - The general term used for aspect ratios greater than 4:3; usually 16:9 or greater.

Window - An inset area within a display that can show a separate image.

XLR Connector - An 3-pin electrical connector that is used mostly in professional audio and video electronics cabling applications.

YUV / YPbPr - A component video signal, comprising of Y (luminance) Pb (blue difference) and Pr (red difference) signals.
