What is DisplayPort?
DisplayPort is a digital display interface standard
(approved May 2006, current version 1.1 approved
on April 2, 2007) put forth by the Video Electronics
Standards Association (VESA). It defines a new
license-free, royalty-free, state-of-the-art digital
audio/video interconnect, intended to be used
primarily between a computer and it’s display monitor
or a computer and a home-theater system.
EPN Solutions Launches new SATA and
eSATA Test Fixtures.
The new SATA and eSATA Test Fixtures are low-cost
connection adapters for use in conjunction with
Agilent Technologies Oscilloscopes for performing
physical layer SATA and eSATA including TDR
analysis. The range consists of eight individual test
fixtures and five test fixture kits.
The new SATA and eSATA test fixtures make it easy
to connect an Oscilloscope via SMA connectors for
physical-layer signal integrity. Both 1.5 Gb/s and 3.0
Gb/s are supported.

The Advanced Logical Design ALD-232A analysis
probe provides a fast, easy and reliable method for
connecting the Agilent logic analyzers to the
RS232/449 or IEEE1284 busses. Configuration files
for both timing and state analysis are provided along
with a bus cycle interpreter/protocol decoder
displaying the full duplex data in all modes. For
timing analysis, all signals are presented to the logic
analyzer inputs with a minimum buffer delay and low
skew.
CAN Bus Analysis is provided via an option to the
ALD-232A a fast, easy and reliable way for designers to view CAN transactions, locate hardware faults,
characterize software timing, verify performance
specifications, and successfully troubleshoot CAN
based systems.
SPI Bus Analysis is provided via an option to the
ALD-232A probe.
This solution provides a simple, easy to use, tool for
examining SPI transactions. A very flexible setup allows all commonly used combinations of SPI parameters to be easily entered by the user. The logic
analyzer display presents two columns of data, one
for each direction of flow. Since the data is presented
to the logic analyzer as bytes, all of the unique triggering qualities of the analyzer can be utilized.
Simultaneous viewing of the timing in both data directions is also presented. The timing waveform also
displays a clock counter to enable easy interpretation
of the data bits.
I 2 C Bus Analysis is provided via an Agilent Technologies logic analyser and option to the ALD-232A
probe.
· I2C bus serial information is displayed as parallel
bytes in state mode.
· Quickly determine the information content of I2C
transactions.
· View details of I2C bus timing with signal passthrough mode
· View transaction duration in state mode using
time tags, or in timing mode Start- and stop- conditions and byte boundaries are detected by the
analysis probe hardware and displayed in timing
mode
· View I2C symbolic address while in timing mode.
· Operates simultaneously in both timing and state
modes – no double-probing required.
· Operates non-invasively in real-time.

Agilent Logic Analyzers Supported by the ALD
RS232D, RS449, IEEE1284, CAN SPI and I2C debugging solutions:The ALD-232A bus analysis probe may be used with
all currently available 16700, 1680, 1690, 16800 and
16900 logic analyzer systems except the 16900 modules with 90 pin cable connectors (16950A/B,
16753A/4A/5A/6A and 16760A).
CAN Protocol Decode
In conjunction with processor-specific support available with Agilent logic analyzers, users can observe
time-correlated processor and bus activity. This solution provides a complete view of all CAN activity.
Two 17-channel pods are required.

interposer / extender capability.
n FS1110 Embedded PCI 32/64 bit up to 66MHz,
Protocol decode, state and timing debug.
All of the above solutions require an Agilent Tec hnologies Logic Analyser with 4 pods for 32 bit or 6 pods

bit debugging.
The FS2010 and FS2009 PCI-X debug solutions require an Agilent Technologies Logic Analyser with 4
pods for 32 bit or 6 pods for 64 bit debugging.

The new Jitterlyzer is a low-cost
jitter injection and analysis tool that
performs physical layer jitter evaluation in conjunction with protocol
