Charging the battery in the docking station
The docking station is charged via the USB cable. During the charging
process, the MF button of the docking station lights up red. the complete
charging of the docking station takes approx. 3 hours. The indicator of the
MF button switches off once the charging process is complete.
The docking station and headset are charged simultaneously if the headset
is in the docking station and the charging switch is switched on.
Important: Switching the charging switch on switches the headset off. An
existing connection to a cell phone is disconnected. The headset cannot
be used during the charging process.
Charging process completed
Disconnect the BT Drive Free 211 after the complete charging process from
the power supply.
Low battery power
If the charging state of the battery in the headset is very low, the MF button
lights up red in every operating state and 5 signal sounds can be heard every
20 seconds until the headset automatically switches off. The docking station
does not feature any warning indicator for low battery power. In this case, a
further operation is no longer possible and the headset cannot be charged
any longer via the docking station without external charger connection.
Battery information
Your device is operated with chargeable batteries. The lithium-ion-polymer
battery of the headset cannot be replaced. The lithium-ion battery of the
docking station can be replaced and is compatible with the Nokia battery
BL-5B. The full performance of a new battery is not achieved until after
two or three complete charging-discharging cycles. The battery can be
charged and discharged several hundred times, but it looses its capacity
over time.

Switching BT Drive Free 211 on/off
ENGLISH
Disconnect the BT Drive Free 211 from the power supply if you do not want
to charge the batteries. Disconnect a completely charged battery from
the charger since overcharging negatively impacts the service life of the
battery. If a battery is not used over an extended period of time, it looses
its capacity over time.
Important: Docking station and headset should be charged completely
if you do not use the devices for a longer period of time. To avoid a deep
discharge of the batteries, you should completely charge the Bluetooth
car kit every 2 months.
Switching on
If the headset is switched off, press the MF button of the headset until you
hear 2 signal sounds and the MF button lights up blue 3 times. The headset
is switched on and the MF button flashes blue.
Note: If the pairing with the BT Drive Free 211 was successful, the device
automatically connects with the last connected cell phone after switch-on.
For this purpose, the Bluetooth function of the cell phone must be activated.
The initial pairing is described below.
Switch-off
If the BT Drive Free 211 is switched on, press the MF button until you hear
2 signal sounds and the MF button lights up red for 3 seconds. The device
is switched off.

blue 5 times. The BT Drive Free 211 automatically connects with the cell
phone and changes to standby mode a few seconds later. In standby
mode, the MF button flashes blue 2 times every 5 seconds. (Note: The
PIN code is preprogrammed and cannot be changed)
– In standby mode, briefly press the MF button to re-establish the connection. The connection can be established only if the BT Drive Free 211 is
no further away from the cell phone than 10 metres.
Note: If the pairing is not completed within 2 minutes, the BT Drive Free 211
switches off again. In this case, restart the pairing to connect the BT Drive
Free 211 with the cell phone.
Using the BT Drive Free 211
If the headset is in the docking station, it works together with the docking
station as hands-free system. The headset can also be used separately for
phone calls.
After the pairing has been successfully completed and the battery has been
charged, the following functions can be performed:
Making a call
– Using voice dial
The cell phone must support the voice dial function and the function
must be activated. The corresponding voice commands for the contacts
must be recorded in the cell phone. You find the pertinent information
in the operating instructions of the cell phone.
If the BT Drive Free 211 is in standby mode, briefly press the MF button.
You will hear a short signal sound and the cell phone asks you to say the
voice command which you recorded in the cell phone for the corresponding contact. If the voice command is recognised by your cell phone, the
number associated with it is dialled.
– Redialling the last number
In the standby mode, press the MF button twice. You hear a signal sound

– Ensure that the Bluetooth function of the cell phone is activated. You
find more detailed information in the operating instructions of the cell
phone.
– Ensure that the distance between Bluetooth car kit and cell phone is
less than 10 metres. There may not be any obstacles in between, such as
walls or electronic devices which could interfere with the transmission
or reduce the range.
– If these steps should not lead to a solution for the problem, remove the
battery from the docking station for a few minutes. If need be, contact
