Adjust BASS, TREBLE, FADER, BALANCE, Dolby Pro Logic II* and SUB-WOOFER* by pressing button. Set by turning button. 2 Select AM, FM1, FM2, CD or MODE. Use MODE to activate AUX and adjust AUX source volume. RADIO 3 Select a station by turning 4 Search stations with left or right arrow. Store up to 20 stations by press & hold 0-9 in FM1 and 0-9 in FM2, confirmed in display. 5 Autostore the 10 strongest stations. Press AUTO for 2 seconds. AUTOSTORE is displayed during search. Select 0-9 to play a radio station after storing. CD 4 Change CD track with left or right arrow. Select CD* with up or down arrow. 6 Eject Press to eject current CD. Press and hold to eject all CDs in CD changer*. 7 CD changer.* Select CD 1-6. 1 FOLDING THE REAR SEAT BACKREST Pull release handles separately to fold left and/or right backrest. Make sure rear head restraints are in upright position. Fold backrests. KEY & REMOTE Locks door/boot and activates alarm. Unlocks doors/boot and deactivates alarm. Unlocks the boot. Lights up sideview mirrors/approach lights and interior, foot, number plate, indicator and parking lights. “Panic” button. Press for 3 seconds in an emergency situation. Automatic relock occurs if no door/boot is opened within 2 minutes after unlock. START 1 2 Place the remote in the ignition slot. Gently push the remote. The remote is pulled into position. 4 3 Depress clutch or brake. Simply press START/STOP button to start the engine. When cold starting, your engine will idle at a higher speed for a short time. STOP & REMOVE REMOTE 1 Park the car and push Start/Stop button to stop the engine. 2 Gently push the remote. The remote ejects. Automatic transmission must be in position P. PERSONAL CAR COMMUNICATOR, PCC* WITH KEYLESS DRIVE Monitor the car within range by pressing the button and wait for only 5 seconds. Press when out of range, the PCC remembers if the car is locked or unlocked. Green light: The car is locked. Yellow light: The car is unlocked. Red light: The alarm has been triggered. Flashing alternating red lights: Someone might be in the car. KEYLESS DRIVE START 2 1 Enter the car with the PCC e.g. in your pocket. Depress clutch or brake. Simply press START/STOP button to start the engine. When cold starting, your engine will idle at a higher speed for a short time. STOP NOTE With keyless drive the PCC just needs to be in the car. Keep the PCC e.g. in your pocket all the time. The car unlocks automatically when you open the door. When you have parked the car just close the door and press the outside door handle button to lock the car. Park the car and push Start/Stop button to stop the engine. ADJUSTING THE STEERING WHEEL REFUELLING 2 2 1 WARNING! Do not adjust steering wheel while driving. Push to open fuel filler lid. ELECTRONIC CLIMATE CONTROL, ECC* 2 1 AUTOMATIC CONTROL AUTO mode maintains all controls and makes driving easy with optimised air quality. MANUAL CONTROL Blower speed. Air distribution. 1 Adjust the temperature by turning. The set temperature is displayed. 2 Press AUTO for automatic temperature control. Defroster to quickly remove mist on windscreen and side windows. Air quality. OFF/AUT/Recirculation. Air Conditioner ON/OFF. STORAGE COMPARTMENTS. 12 V POWER OUTLETS & AUX The power outlets in front/rear centre console operate in ignition mode I. The power outlet on the right-hand side in the boot* is always active. NOTE Use of the 12 V outlet in the boot with engine off can drain the battery. IGNITION MODES ADJUSTING THE SEATS Clutch or brake must not be depressed. 2 1 REMOTE MODE I MODE 0 + - 3 5 Audio/interior lights operate without ignition modes. 0 I Instrument & clock light, steering wheel unlocks.
