3. DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE
DH dehumidifiers are applied at places (rooms) requiring rapid
drying in order to provide protection from an uncontrolled
increase in air humidity.
The principle of operation of the DH dehumidifiers consists in
lowering the content of water steam in air by its condensation.
Figure 2 presents the construction of the device. Its main
elements are the compressor refrigerating system and the fan.
The air sucked by the fan (2) flows through the filter (7) and then
through the evaporator (5), where it is cooled to a temperature
lower than the dew point temperature. As a consequence of this,
part of the water steam contained in air is condensed on the walls
of the evaporator. In the case of lower temperatures, the water
condensing on the evaporator freezes on it. Then, the electronic
system (3) switches off the compressor every now and then,
starting to defrost the evaporator. Owing to this, water flows down
into the reservoir (9). Additionally, depending on the conditions
and the selected mode of operation, the device may operate with
an activated heater (6), whose function is to increase the capacity
of the device. The cooled and dried air from the evaporator flows
through the condenser (4), where it is heated to a temperature
higher than the room temperature.

The device is started automatically by a built-in humidistat, at the
moment, when the air humidity is higher than the required level.
The device is protected from use in too low or too high
temperatures. The electronic system controls the ambient
temperature and switches off the compressor and the fan in the
event of unfavourable operating conditions. In such a situation,
the user is notified about this fact by a back-lit control lamp (c).
The water reservoir may be replaced by a direct connection of
the discharge hose to the connector.
NOTE: The drier may not be started, if the temperature at the
place of use is lower than 5ºC or higher than 40ºC.
In order for the drier to operate most effectively, place it in the
middle of the room. This will ensure a free air flow through the
device. The minimal distance from the walls amounts to 20-30
cm. Do not position the drier near sources of heat such as
heaters, ovens or near the doors and windows, which should be
closed during the operation of the device. The DH drier should
operate in closed rooms.
NOTE: Operate, store and transport the device in a vertical
position. Otherwise irregularities in the operation of the
device may occur, or even the refrigerating system may be
damaged.
4. FIRST ASSEMBLY OF THE DEVICE
Each dehumidifier is delivered in an individual packaging
consisting of a pallet and a cardboard box. After the device is
taken out of the packaging, mount the upper holder.
Assembly of the upper holder:
1)
detach the upper holder from the bottom one, to
which it
was attached during the transport (Fig. 3),
2)
slide the upper holder over the bottom holder
(Fig. 4),
3)
connect the holder with the dehumidifier housing
(Fig. 5) by means of screws attached to the device,
tighten the screws with a 5 mm hexagonal key,
check whether the holder is not loose in relation to
the housing, if needed, tighten the screws.
5. START OF THE DEHUMIDIFIER
In order to start the dehumidifier:
•
connect the device to ~230 V, 50 Hz power supply;
•
activate the switch (a) to the ON position (marked
with
symbol), which will start the fan and the
compressor. The compressor is protected from
being started too frequently by a one-minute delay;
•
set the required air humidity level.
6. DEHUMIDIFIER STOPPING
In order to switch off the drier, the switch (a) must be adjusted to
the OFF position.
7. OPERATION OF THE HEATER
The dehumidifier is equipped with a heater, whose operation is
controlled by a push button (b). If it is in the OFF position, the
heater is switched off. When the button is adjusted to the ON
position (marked with
symbol) the heater is switched on and
operates in two modes, depending on the ambient temperature. If
the ambient temperature does not exceed 20ºC, the heater is
switched on during the whole operating time of the device. At
temperatures above 20ºC, the heater switches on automatically
only during the frosting process.
8. WATER RESERVOIR
When the reservoir is filled with water, the device stops the
operation and lights the filling indicator lamp (e). In order to restart the dehumidifier, empty the reservoir.
NOTE: Before the removal of the reservoir, switch off the
device by means of the main switch and disconnect it from
the mains. Only then, will it be possible to re-start the
device.
The water reservoir may be replaced by connecting the
condensate discharge hose to the connector. It is helpful in the
situation, when the device is switched on for a longer period of
time, and the control of the reservoir filling level is difficult.
In order to connect the hose, the condensate reservoir must be
removed from the device. Then, slide the hose of 10-12 mm in
diameter over the connector.

NOTE: The hose end, through which the condensed water
flows out, may not be placed higher than the connector of
the drier. The placement of the hose end above the
connector will lead to the damage of the device, it may also
cause electric shock.
NOTE: No objects should lie on the drier during its

9. MAINTENANCE
NOTE: Before starting the maintenance activities, switch off
the device by means of the switch (a) and disconnect it from
the mains.
In order to ensure efficient operation, clean the filter as well as
the internal elements of the dehumidifier periodically. The air filter
should be blown through with compressed air or washed in warm
water with soap.
NOTE: In order to remove the filter, loosen the lock screw
which is over the filter.
In order to clean the inside of the device, unscrew and remove
the front cover of the filter. The pollution must be removed by
means of a vacuum cleaner, making sure that the ribs of the
condenser, evaporator and fan blades are not damaged in the
process.
10. TRANSPORT
NOTE: In order to move or transfer the dehumidifier, switch
off the device by means of the main switch and pull the plug
out of the mains socket.
In order to move the dehumidifier, tilt it. This enables the
transport of the device on wheels (fig. 7).
NOTE: Do not transfer the dehumidifier in a horizontal
position.
Additionally, there is oil inside the compressor. For these
reasons, throwing the exploited device away is not allowed.
Disassemble it, and the respective elements must undergo
secondary processing or scrapping.
NOTE: The refrigerants must not be emitted into the
atmosphere. The refrigerant should be removed by qualified
persons.
The following items are necessary to remove the refrigerant:
•
pliers for a removal of refrigerants,
•
unit for forcing through the liquids,
•
pressure vessel.
The refrigerant should be removed in the following way:
•
connect the pliers and the pressure vessel to the
unit,
•
puncture the drain pipe of the compressor with the
pliers and leave them clamped on the pipe,
•
open both valves of the unit and start it, emptying
the used refrigerant from the drier,
•
switch off the unit and shut both valves, then shut
the pressure vessel valve,
•
remove the pliers from the pipe,
•
if the pressure vessel is filled up, deliver it to a
specialist liquid waste removal point.
In order to remove the oil from the compressor, solder it out or
cut it off from the refrigerating system and unscrew it from the
base. Then, drill a hole in the compressor housing (from the
bottom), through which the oil may be poured out.
NOTE: Deliver the used oil to the oil removal point.
The method of transfer of the dehumidifier along the stairs or a
steep surface is presented in fig. 8.
The remaining elements (mainly steel, copper and aluminium

elements) may be delivered for secondary processing.
In the compressor circulation system, there is a R407C
pressurized refrigerant.

ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
If a device is marked with the above sign, it means this
electrical or electronic equipment must be collected separate
from other waste materials.
Waste electrical and electronic equipment contains substances
harmful for the natural environment. As such, it cannot be
disposed in a landfill; it must be recycled.
Information related to the collection of waste electrical and
electronic equipment can be obtained from the retail outlet or
the producer/importer.
This is especially addressed to individual households as most
of such devices are sold to that sector. This means that
individual users have a very significant contribution in the
collection of such waste equipment.
The ban on the disposal of waste electrical and electronic
equipment is enforced by the 2002/96/EC directive.
Informatsiooni kasutatud elektrooniliste ja elektriseadmete
kogumissüsteemist
võib
saada
seadme
müüjalt
müügikohtades ja tootjalt või maaletoojalt.
Erilist tähelepanu peaksid osutama tarbijad, kes kasutavad

POTROŠENIH ELEKTRIČNIH ILI ELEKTRONSKIH
UREDJAJA
Gornji znak smješten na uredjaju informira, da ovo je uredjaj
električni ili elektronski kojega poslije potrošnje ne smije se
smještati sa drugim otpacima.
Potrošeni uredjaj električni ili elektronski sadrži tvari štetne za
prirodnu okolinu. Ne smije se takvih uredjaja stavljati na
stovarištima za smeće samo mora se predati za recykling.
Informacije o sistemu skupljanja potrošenih uredjaja
električnih ili elektronskih možete dobiti kod prodavaća i kod
proizvodjača ili uvoznika.
Posebnu pažnju molimo neka imaju potrošači uredjaja u
privatnom domaćinstvu jer do ovog sektora ide najveći broj
uredjaja. Znači, ih učešče u selektivnom zbiranju potrošenih
uredjaja ima bitan značaj.
Po direktivi evropskoj 2002/96/WE zabrajeno je smještavanje
potrošenih električnih ili elektronskih uredjaja zajedno sa
drugim otpacima.

VONATKOZÓAN
A berendezésen elhelyezett fenntebb ábrázolt jel tájékoztat
arról, hogy ez egy elektromos vagy elektronikai eszköz,
melyet elhasználódás után nem szabad más hulladékokkal
közös hulladékgyőjtı helyeken tárolni.
A használt elektromos és elektronikai eszköz a természeti
környezetre káros anyagokat tartalmaz. Ilyen berendezést
nem szabad a szemétlerakó helyekre kitenni,
újrafeldolgozásnak kell alávetni.
A használt velektromos és elektronikai eszközök begyőjtési
rendszerérıl információ kapható a berendezés eladási helyén,
valamint a gyártónál vagy importernél
Külön felhívással fordulunk a háztartási berendezések
felhasználóihoz. Tekintettel arra, hogy ebben a szektorban
található a legtöbb ilyen készülék, ami azt jelenti, hogy nagyon
fontos a részvételük a használt berendezések szelektív
győjtésében.
A 2002/96/EK európai direktíva a felhasználóra nézve
kötelezıen írja elı a használt elektromos és elektronikai
eszközök más hulladékokkal való közös tárolásának tilalmát.
