@ This radio controlled model is not a toy. For yours and others safty, the following guidelines and cautions should be followed carefully.
WARNING: Do not operate R/C car in the following locations:
1. Street
2. Crowded area; keep away from children.
3. Indoors or an unventilated room.
SUGGESTION: Outside in a large open area without obstructions; R/C race track.
@This kit uses many kinds of small parts, sharp tools, large polybag, and chemical materials. Please keep these and other potentially
harmful items away from children.
@®Use only FCC approved ground frequency crystals in the R/C unit.
@®Do not operate a Gas powered car in a residential area. The noise could disturb the peace.
@if you are operating several cars together, check the frequencies to make sure none are the same. Operating the cars on the same
frequency can cause radio interference and loss of control of the car.
@If the car is not operating properly, stop immediately and check the condition of the car.
@To avoid damage to the R/C equipment, or losing control of the car, avoid running in or near water.
@To always maintain control of your car and to avoid a jump start, Please do the following:
1. ON - First turn on the transmitter, then the car's receiver. 2. OFF - Turn off the car's receiver, then the transmitter.
@Do not touch the R/C car after operation, as the engine, muffler, electric motor, battery, and speed controller will be very hot! Allow to
cool before handling. While charging your car's battery, it could become hot. Carefully read your battery charger's instructions for
proper use.
@When the R/C car is in operation, do not touch any of its moving parts such as drive shafts, wheel ,etc., as the rotating parts can cause
serious injury.
@ After operation of the R/C car, it is necessary to remove the battery for protection of the R/C equipment.
@Paint and grease are extremely flamable, keep away from sources of ignition. Do not puncture or throw away spray paint cans into
garbage.

Clip (C14) by sliding the clip over the groove inthe Hub.

choose a spring (FF203) and place it down overtheball Now
thread the 3x3 setscrew intothe hub to secure the hardware.

02-01 Pistons Cil Ring
1. Enap E2 E-clip intothenotch in the piston rod (FF217 or FF218).
2. Slide the shock piston ofyour choice (FF216) overthe shaft until it rests FF248
against the E-clip. Secure the piston by snapping the other E2 E-clip into Shock Bod

1. Fill the shock body with the supplied shock oil. Gently work the shaft
up and down to work out all the air bubbles. When no bubbles are
remaining add oil to completely fill the shock
2 Puttherubber diaphragm on top of the oil with the rounded side
towardstheoil
3. Put theplastic shock eyelet into the shock cap.
4. Screw the shock top all the way down. Loosenthe shock
cap about 1/2 turn and push the shock shaft all the way
up slowly. When the shaft in allthe way in tighten the
shock cap. Hold the shock shaft in until finished
tightening the cap.
5. Check the shock for smooth action. Make sure
the shaft compresses fully, if not loosen the
shock cap and bleed the oil out slightly.

03-01 Flywheel and Engine Mount
Securethe Engine (G70362) to the engine mounts (GX 24)
with the 3x12 cap head screws. (Be suretonote the direction
of the engine mounts).
Push the flywheel (3P33) over the engine output shaft and
secure by tightening the flywheel a (SP34) onto the
shaft.
IMPORTANT, Thread lock must beus ed onthe flywheel
retainer or it will vibrate loose

03-02 Clutch Shoes
With Clutch shoes (FF012) facing each other as shown in the diagram; pull the clutch shoe
spring (3P36) overthetop and allow to rest in the ridge. Now push the clutch shoes onto
the flywheel (inthe same direction as pictured) and secure by clipping the large E7 E-clip
over the assembly into the notch on the flywheel retainer.

Slide three adjusting shims (G36901) onto the flywheel retainer followed by the G73201 bearing.
Push the clutch bell (Part #varies w/ model. See diagram in top right for details) over the bearing

Putthe small 3z6 washer over the bearing and secure with the 3x6 cap head screw.

(05-06 Rear Suspension
1. Push a G73906 bearing into either side of the hub.
3, Push the 2x30 pin (G36703) intothe FF232 Outdrive cup and insert this assembly intothe diff case. FF232
3, Push outdrive cup GX15 through the wheel hub. -a Outdrive Cup
4. Attach the lower suspension arm to the bullthead by threading a FF048 hinge pin through the arm
and intothe bulkhead.
5. Insert the dogbone intothe outdrive cup in the wheel hub and then into the outdrive
cup mn the bulkhead.
(IMPORTANT: Be sure to put the pictured o-ring intothe FF232 drive cup before
inserting the dog bone).
6. Attach the upper suspension arm in the same fashion as the lower by threading a
FF048 hinge pin through the arm and then the bulkhead.

4WD 1 Thetwo bearings should be pressed into therecesses in the Gear box halves (FF 001).
2. Now, be sure the front drive gear and differential are lined up as close as possible and closethe
Gear box halvesaround them. Tighten the Gearboxtogether withthethree Phillips head screws
that run sidewaysthrough it.
3. Fastenthe shock towertothe completed gear box using the four 3x10 screws. (The holes for the
screws will be much easierto see once the gearbox halves are connected)

06-02 Front Suspension Arms ON
1. Slidethe Out Drive Cups (FF232) into either side ofthe diff. Make sure that they are pressed all
the way in asthey have a flat side that must be linedup.
2 Now push abearing into both sides of the hub and slide the Swing Shaft through the hub sothat it
faces the direction that 1s pictured.
3. Place theball and pin end ofthe swing shaft intothe drive cup and attach theupper and lower
ЕЕ237 suspension arms to the bulkhead. (This 1s most easily accomplished by attaching the top first.

NOTE: On the 2wd version there are no swing shafts and you can simply attach both the top and
lower suspension arms without any further hassle)

1. Assemblethe servo saver aspictured in the shaded boxes first When adjusting the
servo saver spring tighten itall the way down, and then back it off 1 5 turns.
2 Now fasten the steering supports (FF241) to the chassisand push the
servo saver pieces of these
3. Now attach steering tie rods (FF242 or 243) to the servo saver ball ends.
(NOTE the tie rods must be assembled by threading the (SP23)rod
ends onto the tie rod. Twist them on until they coverhalf of the
threads onthe tierod Final adjustment must be done upon
completion of the vehicle)

1. Attach the enginemounting plate (GX 32) tothe chassis using the four 3x10 screws. (Be suretoputa
washer overthose screws)
2. Wow attach the engine to the mounting plate onthe chassis by threading the screws into the engine
mounts.
IMPORTANT. Be sure to use thread lock on the engine mounting screws.
3 Fastenthe Muffler holder tothe chassis using the Phillipshead screw and the mini locknut.

08-09 Throttle Rod and Brake Rod
1. Attach the Servohorn to the servousing the G36152 screw.
2 Screw the FF247 retention block into the servo hom.
3 2lide the throttle rod through the round retainer, then theretention
lock, then the G5274 spring and through the last round retainer,
Tighten the grub screws on the round retainers to holdtherodin place.
4. Slide the FFOS0 brake clip through the brake assembly as pictured.
5. Push thekinked end of the brakerodinto the servo hornand
then slide it through the round retainer, the brake clip, the
tube, and the otherbralke retainer Secure the retainers to the
