Application Guide

GROM adapters allow you to integrate USB Stick, MP3, In-Car Bluetooth, Android Phone, iPod / iPhone into car stereo system, control your portable device (except MP3 player) through CD changer controls on the Car Stereo, and get the premium digital sound quality without using FM modulators. Bluetooth will allow you to use your mobile phone hands free and get wireless music playback with integrated stereo controls. To gain Bluetooth functionality additional GROM-BTD Bluetooth Dongle is needed for USB3, IPD4, MST4 units. Bluetooth Dongle is not needed for GROM-BT3 modules, as the GROM-BT3 has integrated Bluetooth.

These vehicles above do not require GROM DSP adapter (use analog DSP) and can be installed at stereo or trunk, but audio part will not work until the stereo is programmed (retrofited) to accept CD

Changer (BMW calls it “vehicle order”). Please contact your local BMW dealer and ask them to retrofit the stereo to accept CD changer.

If your car falls into the above range and has Navigation, CD changer or iPod connection, GROM will work without any reprogramming.
