What does "CAT" button mean?

GROM Adapter is only compatible with radios from compatibility list above where word CAT, SAT, or CH, CHANNEL, CATEGORY printed somewhere on the face of the radio. This is usually located near the Tune or Seek buttons. SAT needs to be disconnected.
