FABRICATED AXLE HOUSING BRACE
To combat flex, Competition Engineering has designed the Fabricated Axle Housing Brace. This twopiece brace welds directly to the back of the Competition Engineering fabricated rear housing (P/N’s:
C9100 & C9200), triangulating the main housing with the axle tubes to eliminate any flex. By eliminating
the flex, you increase the amount of power going to the tires and improve your ET's.

INSTALLATION
1. Trial fit the braces to the housing. If necessary trim the edges to fit using an angle grinder and a
file.
2. Grind the area that the braces will be welded to ensure good penetration.
3. Tack weld the part to the housing in several places before beginning final welding.
4. In order to limit the amount of distortion, do not weld in one continuous bead. Instead weld in oneinch increments alternating from side to side.
5. For maximum effectiveness the brace should be welded on all areas that contact the housing.
6. We highly recommend that you use an alignment bar to prevent the tubes from distorting during
the weld process.
