tension clamp.
BATTERY OPERATIONS
ZT IMPORTANT: Before using the YD-V14 Bluetooth® Rearview Mirror
speakerphone:
= Fully charge the battery (8 hours continuous) for first time use

A Charging the Battery
Follow the steps below when charging the YD-Y1é Bvetcoih* Rearview Mirror
speakerphone
=» Connect the DC power jack to the YD-¥ 14 Bluetooth® Rearview Mirror
speakerphone
= Connect cor charger to cigarette power outlet
= LED will flash red when charging is inflated
= Red LED will flash off when charging is complete
ZN IMPORTANT: Remove device from cigarette outlet before leaving the
vehicle. Do not leave the YO-Y1 6 Bluetooth® Rearview Mirror Speakerphone
charging mn the vehicle unattended.
CAUTION: Bek of exploson f battery is replaced by an incomect type. DEpose of
used bottenes according to the instructions.
Note: Actual talk ime and sandby time for the TD-YTé will vory wiih different
Hueicofi enabled mobile phones due to different implementation of power
down modes.

When battery power 5 low, the device wil:
= Flash red LED light
Recharge the YO-VY16 immediately after the low battery indicators are detected.
The LED) light will not turn on indicating battery power & completely consumed.
Follow “Chorging The Cotienes instructions above fo recharge the YD-Y1é.
The YL-Y1é will not power on until It & connected to a power outlet to recharge.
Recharge the YO-Y1 6 sufficiently before using.

Paring Bluetooth® enabled devices ike mobile phones with the YOD-V1 4
Bluetooth” Rearview Mimor Speakerphone authonzes the devices to work with
each. The step only needs to be performed once.

Your mobile phone. If you do not have your mobile phone's instruction manual
available, follow the typical paring instruchons below:

AT Command and OPP [Object Push Profée] function can automatically
transfer the contacts in your mobile phone to the YL-V1é Rearview
Mirror Speakerphone.
Note: NOT ALL MOBILE PHONES SUPPORT A Command and OPP Features
To transfer the Phone Book from your mobile phone via AT Command:
- Make sure the YD-Y lá ona mobile phone & connected

To trarsfer the Phone Book from your mobile phone via OPP:
= [Disconnect Bluetooth® ink from the YD-VI1 6 setting (if it 5 connected)
= Setup mobile phone for copying and transfering the contacts from fhe
mobile phone fo your YD Ys
Note: Please refer to your mobile phone's user monual

Note: Phonebook should be set up fist fo activate speed dialing.
To set up speed dialing:

+ Scroll the menu by pressing [+ jor[ — ] eutton until you see Rea

+ Browse for an empiy memory slot by pressing [+ |or[ = | button. There are
a total of 3 memory slots for speed dialing with each soft represented by the
[+]. [= ] button and the [Menu] button
» Pres the |Menu| button after finding an empty slot
* Browse the phone number that you wish to set to speed dial
* Press Send button (J) to confirm
= Press End button © to return to Main Menu
Note: If a memory doi is empty, user can simply press the desred key for 2
seconds then follow the above procedures.

To modify delete speed dioling number:
Once you hove soved a number for a Sot/bufton, vou need to delete d before
YOU oan save a new number for that sot/button.
To delete a umber in a speed dialing entry:

= Search for the entry that you would Ike to modify
= Press [Menu] button hwice and the screen will show Delete 7

To adjust contrast of LCD Deplony:

= Press and hold Up button for two seconds to increase microphone volume
= Pres and hold Down button for two seconds to decrecse microphone

If you cannct hear the person you are talking to on the other lime, do the
folowing steps while conversation is in progress:
= Adust the microphone volume of the YD-VY16 to mosamum level or
= Request the person on the other line fo adjust his/her mobile phone's
volume level to maximum
If there 5 a strong echo whan the person on the other ine talks:
= Transfer the call to your mobile phone
= [ff echo disappeared, frarsfer the call fo your YOY 6 again and lower the
loud speaker volume unii echo & reduced/efminoted
= [ff the echo remains, root cause of the echo might be with the network
provider or the mobile phone itself.
If the loudspeaker volume of the YD-Y1 6 & too low or foo high and you are
unable to adjust it;
= Adust the volume directly on the mobile phone
o ne tune using the volume control of fne YD-Vlé 16
AMute/Un-mute Functions
To mute the YOY 1 6 during an active call:
= Press [Menu] button for two seconds
To cancel mute:
= Press [Menu] button again

To enter voice dialing mode:
* Hold the Send (J) button for 2 seconds
= Lay the name after you hear the tone
Note: If the YD-Y16 failed to recognize the voice/name. Press the End = button
fo ext and repeat the above steps for voice dialing.
Note: Voice Dialing is a feature of your mobile phone. Please refer to your
phones user manual for voice command operation.

5. Caller ID Deploy
Note: Caller ID Deplay & à network service; please consult your network provider
for details.
Caller ID can be dsplayed in 3 ways:
a) By Name
TL-Y1é can display the caler 5 name when receiving coll. To deploy caller's
nome, the nome must be stored in the phone book.
b) By Phone Number
Phone number will be deployed if there is no record of that number in the
phone book
c) Withheld Number
When a caller withholds his number, lL LISTER will be displayed
Note: The YD-V1é do not automatically save numbers dialed directly from your
mobile phone and will not be displayed.

To accept an incoming call during a conversation:
