vertical mounting of multiple units

2. Note the modem card guides (top and bottom) already affixed to

card comes with a black plastic inserter/ejector. Insert the
modem into the slots with the inserter/ejector facing you.

3. Slide modem in with inserter in the UP position. When the
modem is just about all the way in, push in and down on the

removing the modem, lift the inserter/ejector and slide the card
out.)

4. If you have one or more external Boca modems you would like to
install into your new Boca Modem Rack, you can do so by
removing the modem PCB (printed circuit board) from the case
and inserting it into the modem rack. Since these modems do not
have the inserter/ejector clips, you will need to hold the front of
the modem PCB while attaching the cables.
5. When done, replace front panel.
6. On the other side of the case, attach each power lead to the
corresponding power connector on the modem card.
NOTE: Should you need to change the fuse, gently pry the
fuse compartment gently out of the switch assembly with a
small flatblade screwdriver. Replace the fuse with a
comparable 250v fuse only. A spare fuse is included.

B. STACKING AND MOUNTING OPTIONS
1. STACKING
You will need one pair of stacking brackets for every modem chassis
you add to the stack. Each bracket has four holes (two for the lower
modem chassis, two for the next modem chassis above). Attach four
(4) 6/32 x 1/4-inch philips screws on one side and four (4) on the
other to secure the cases for vertical stacking.

2. MOUNTING
You will need one pair of rack mounting angles for every modem
chassis you attach to a rack. Attach the angle portion with four holes
to one side of the modem chassis, using four (4) of the 6/32 x 1/4inch screws (A). Repeat this step with the second angle on the other
side of the case. You will then need four (4) additional screws (B)
(not supplied) to attach the assembly to the vertical rack.
