ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
FRONT INSTALLATION
1. Jack up the front end of the cart and place it on jack stands. You will be installing larger wheels and tires
so raise the cart high enough to accommodate for the additional height.
2. Remove wheels and tires.
3. Remove the tie rod ends from the spindles.
4. Remove the spindles from the front axle. Clean and lubricate these bolts and king pin tube for the
reinstallation of the spindles.
5. Install JAKES spindles to the front axle using the stock king pin bolts and king pin tube. NOTE: The
Passenger side is Item A and the Driver’s side is Item B.
6. Lengthen each tie rod approximately 3 to 4 turns.
7. Securely tighten all bolts.
8. Attach the tie rod ends to the new spindles.
9. Install JAKES recommended 22 x 11 x 10 wheels and tires with a 3 x 5” offset for maximum performance
and stability.
10. Take the cart off of the jack stands and lower the cart.
11. Drive the cart forward 10-20 feet and check the toe-in. (Proper toe-in should be approximately 1/8-1/4”.)
REAR INSTALLATION
1. Jack up the rear end of the cart and place jack stands on the frame in front of the springs. You will be
installing larger wheels and tires so raise the cart high
enough to accommodate the additional height.
2. Remove the wheels and tires.
3. Place a jack stand under the motor and unbolt the front
motor mount. Place jack stands under the motor to secure.
4. Unbolt the bottom of the shocks.
5. You will need to un-hook rear brake cables and re-route
them. We recommend cutting a hole in the driver side of
the plastic frame, under the battery (remove battery) as
shown for re-routing the driver side brake cable.
6. Unbolt the rear leaf springs from under the rear end and put
them on top of the rear end.
7. Put the aluminum rear risers (Item E) on top of the axle as
shown.
8. Place the leaf springs on top of the risers.
9. Place JAKES rear shock plates (Item C & D) on top of the
leaf springs with the shock mount holes facing the rear of the cart and towards the center. Using the
supplied U-bolts (Item F) & ½” nuts (Item H) mount the shock plates to the rear risers with the leaf
springs sandwiched in between them. Use the supplied 3/8x2” bolts & nuts (Item K) and rear U-Bolt
plates (Item G) as shown. Make sure you tighten these
bolts evenly.
10. Attach the bottom of the shocks to JAKES new shock
mounts on the rear shock plates using the stock nuts and
bolts.
11. Place new supplied motor mount (Item J) to the stock motor
mount location using the supplied hardware (Items K,L
&M).
12. Tighten motor mount bolts and securely tighten all other
bolts.
13. Install JAKES recommended wheel and tire size 22 x 11 x
10 or 23x10.5x12 wheels and tires with a 3 x 5” offset for
maximum performance. NOTE: Your stock wheels and
tires will not work!
14. Included is a warning label (Item I) which is to be placed on
the steering column or another visible area and is to be read by all operators.
