Simultaneously stack one or more ceiling tiles, face up, over a large trashcan. This will catch all the debris and provide an effortless work space.
Find the center of the tile. Since the Tile Bridge is 23½‘”, you can find the center by lining the Tile Bridge up on the long edge. The opposite is side is
now at the center line of a 2’x4’ ceiling tile. See figure “Find Center of Tile”
Line up the arrows on the TB6 or the small pilot holes on the TB8. See figure “Centering Hole for Cutout”.
Now lay the Tile Bridge on the center of your stacked Tiles. After verifying the center draw a circle using the Tile Bridge as a template.
Cut a hole with a fine tooth drywall saw on the “outside” line of your circle through all tiles at once. This will save a lot of time.
Place the flat side of the Tile Bridge on the unfinished side of the tile with the ridges of the Tile Bridge facing up. Now insert tile back in the grid.
Pull your wire through the hole and make the connections to the speaker or speaker transformer. Suggest installing a SpeKap.
Carefully insert the speaker into the hole of both the tile and Tile Bridge and follow the instructions supplied with your speaker.
Note: Some people prefer to install the speaker in the tile and bridge and then insert back in the grid.

Considerations
• When handling ceiling tiles use only the tips of your fingers or white gloves to prevent smudges and hand prints on the tiles.
• Allow about 24” of wire to connect speaker. Cut off excess at speaker install.
• Prewire the speakers after plumbing and electrical and prior to insulation.
• The speaker placement should approximately 16-22” away from walls.
• To prevent standing waves Do Not make the distance from the back wall the same as the side wall.
• Do NOT use any existing holes for running speaker wires. Drill new holes for speaker wires. Wires can be pinched or melted from pipes.
• Do NOT run speaker or A/V wires parallel to electrical wiring this could induce crosstalk and AC hum.
• Keep all speaker and A/V wiring at least 16” away from all electrical wires.
• Cross electrical wiring at right angles to reduce cross talk.
• Keep the speaker wires somewhat loose to allow for building expansion.
• Use the SpeKap breathable membrane net to keep blown-in insulation, rodent droppings and debris from falling into the ceiling speaker that could
cause vibrations and/or dampen the performance of the woofer.
