Course selection
Years Three and Four
The University strongly recommends that students in Year One do
not take 300- or 400-level courses, as low grades will impact your
graduating GPA.
Program Notes: May include 300 and 400 level MUS course with
permission of instructor. Recommend ELEC 459, 486, SENG 474/

Refer to the course descriptions in the Academic Calendar to ensure
that you are taking appropriate prerequisites each year for the
courses you plan to take in the following year. Any prerequisites of
note are listed under each year below.
Year One
Program Notes: 1The Academic Writing Requirement, if required,
should be taken as an elective in First Year. Choose 1.5 units from
ENGL 135, 146 or 147.

ELEC 407 and 484 are only offered in the Summer.
If your degree requirements are complete, but you have not yet
graduated, you may request a Degree Completion Letter from the
Registrar’s Office.
Graduation Requirements: Review your CAPP report and/or book

You can choose a BFA Combined Major in Music/Computer Science
OR a BSC Combined Major in Music/Computer Science. The courses
are the same.

Program Notes: 2MUS 270A and 270B must be taken concurrently
with MUS 201A and 201B.
