Presenter 7.0 Release Notes
Adobe® Presenter 7.0 is a Microsoft PowerPoint COM add-in by Adobe that converts
PowerPoint presentations into interactive multimedia presentations and eLearning courses. This
file contains latest product information, updates, known issues and some tips. Please note that the
listing is not exhaustive.

Intel® Pentium® III, or higher.
Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 2, Windows Vista™ Home Premium,
Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise (certified for 32-bit editions only)
Microsoft® PowerPoint 2002 (XP) or 2003 or 2007.
Microsoft XML Library - MSXML 4. If this component is missing on the system, one
can download it from
Internet Explorer 6.0 or later.
256MB of RAM minimum.
250MB of available hard-disk space or higher.
1,024x768 minimum monitor resolution with 32-bit or greater video card.
QuickTime software required for multimedia features.

Office 2007
Office 2007 Support
Presenter 7 supports authoring and publishing with
Office 2007, including support for .pptx format.
Flash Video in
Presenter 7 output would be able to play Flash video
embedded in the slides. The video can be played as
part of the content or as talking head video.
Import video from
any format
It is now possible to import video from almost any
format and embed as flash video on the slides.
Supported formats include: Flash video (flv);
Windows media files(asf, wmv, mpg); Quick time
files (mp4, dv, dvi, mov, 3g)
Capture video
One can also capture video from source (such as
webcam) and embed it as content or talking head
video on a slide or simply save it to disk.
Multimedia Controls
Presenter now has advanced controls for multimedia
like “video settings” option to Trim and add visual
effects to the video.
Support for high
quality audio output
Published output can have High quality audio (upto
CD quality).
Importing questions
from existing quiz
Questions can now be imported from the existing
Presenter quizzes.
Quiz Pane in Output
The Outline pane in the sidebar becomes a ‘Quiz
Pane’ for display of dynamic info specific to a quiz
such as scores (max, current, pass etc.), attempts,
questions remaining etc.
The info to be displayed in the Quiz Pane can be
configured from the Quiz Manager
Question Pools
Questions can now be organized into groups. Quiz
can be generated in the output by randomly picking
up a given number of questions from a group.
Question Shuffling
The order in which questions would appear in a quiz
can be shuffled at quiz level and question group
Option Shuffling
The order in which options (answers) to the
questions appear can also be shuffled.
Quiz Boundary
If a user taking a Quiz tries to move out of a Quiz
PDF Output
boundary and there are questions still left, the user
would be provided with a warning message
Presenter output can now be packaged into a PDF
file. The output can also be played back within the
PDF. The option is do this is available in the publish

Presenter would require Acrobat Reader 9.0

Mobile Viewing
Configure directly
from Slide Manager
Users can change settings for various elements/assets
associated with a slide from the slide manager itself.
Navigation restriction
Navigation restriction can now be applied to
individual slides from slide manager.
Bulk Formatting for
Quiz Questions
Appearance/formatting of quiz questions can be
configured for fonts, font size and button placement
and position on the slide. This is available in the
Quiz Manager in the “Appearance” tab. The settings
can also be saved and reused.
Output for Mobile
Presenter 7 creates viewer files (viewer_lite.swf)
optimized for viewing content on mobile devices
supporting Adobe FlashLite 3
New format for
storing audio assets
Presenter now stores audio clips as separate files in
asset folder. The new architecture would allow to get
rid of the various issues related to PPC files.
While the new format would now be the default,
there is an option to export to a format compatible
with older versions of Presenter.

Support for Vista
Presenter 7 supports Microsoft Vista
Known issues
Uninstalling Adobe Presenter 7.0 will not uninstall Flash Player 9.
As a general rule, all features of PowerPoint 2007 which are lost when imported to
PowerPoint 2003 will not be published. For complete details visit Office 2007 issues
If Adobe Presenter is disabled then to enable it do the following.
o For Office 2007
ƒ Go to PowerPoint Office Button >PowerPoint Options.
ƒ Click on Add-Ins and select Disabled Items in Manage dropdown and
press on Go button
ƒ Select Adobe Presenter add-in and press Enable button
o For Office 2003
ƒ Go to PowerPoint Help >About Microsoft Office PowerPoint.
ƒ Click on Disabled Items button and select Adobe Presenter add-in and
press Enable button.
H.264 videos in Presenter content when posted to Connect 6 may not play while viewing.
