Customer Information: The information in this
installation instruction is intended for use only by skilled technicians who have the proper tools, equipment, and training to correctly and safely add equipment to your vehicle. These procedures should not be attempted by “do-it-yourselfers.”
1.
Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio, then write down the frequencies for the preset buttons.
2.
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
3.
Remove the trim ring.
M/T Model:
• Pull up on the parking brake lever to prevent the vehicle from moving.
• Loosen the lock nut and remove the shift knob by turning it counterclockwise.
• Remove the lock nut.

• Gently pry up on the trim ring to release the eight clips.
• Unplug the two seat heater connectors, and remove the trim ring.

Open the pocket lid. Pull the pocket out toward you to release the four clips, unplug the illumination bulb, and remove the pocket. Take care not to damage the illumination bulb.

• Move the shift lever into Neutral.

Remove the coin pocket holder or ashtray holder.
With Coin Pocket Holder:
• Remove the four self-tapping screws.
• Gently pull out the coin pocket holder to release the clip from the coin pocket holder and unplug the vehicle connector. Remove the coin pocket holder.

• Remove the four self-tapping screws.
• Gently pull out the ashtray holder, unplug the illumination bulb, vehicle connector and cigarette lighter harness 2-pin connector.
Remove the ashtray holder.

Installing the XM Radio Harness and FM Modulator
Unit
13. Attach the fuse labels to the fuse cases on the
XM radio harness.
FUSE LABEL
When attaching the fuse labels to the fuse cases, open the fuse case cover and make sure that the fuse is in the case.
If the vehicle is equipped with other accessories:
• Unplug the other accessory harness 6-pin connector from the fuse box.
• Remove the dummy connector from the XM radio harness.
• Plug the XM radio harness 6-pin connector into the fuse box 6-pin connector, then plug the other accessory 6-pin connector into the XM radio harness 6-pin connector.

18. Loosely secure the XM radio harness to the vehicle harness with three wire ties.
19. Using a hook tool, pull out on the driver's instrument side trim to release the three clips, and unplug the vehicle connector and the hose.

21. Route the XM radio harness 3-pin connector toward the glove box opening.
22. In the glove box opening, locate the frame stay pipe. Align the holes in the frame stay pipe with the welded nuts in the bracket A, and loosely attach bracket A to the pipe frame with the two

23. Attach the connector clip to the harness connector of the FM modulator unit. Attach bracket B to the
FM modulator unit with one 4 x 8 mm washerscrew. Tighten the washer-screw securely.
25. Below the glove box opening, remove the upper heater blower case mounting bolt.

24. Attach bracket B with the FM modulator unit against bracket A, and install one additional

28. Connect the XM radio harness 3-pin connector to the FM modulator unit harness 3-pin connector, then attach the 3-pin connector clip to the hole in bracket B.

30. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the bonding surface on the display module and display module pocket.
31. Remove the adhesive backing from the doubleface adhesive tape, then attach it to the display module back. Remove the adhesive backing from the double-face adhesive tape on the display module.
32. Route the display module cable through the hole of the display module pocket. Attach the display module to the display module pocket while pulling the display module cable.

38. Wrap one EPT seal around the antenna jack, and secure the antenna jack to the vehicle antenna jack with one wire tie. Secure the DIN cable, the display module cable, and the antenna harness to the vehicle harness with one wire tie.

52. Raise the rear seat back. Pull the DIN cable and
XM radio harness out from under the floor carpet and toward the passenger's side of the vehicle.
Secure the XM radio harness and DIN cable to the vehicle harness with seven wire ties.
54. Inside the trunk, unplug the vehicle harness connector from the brake light case. Release the four hooks of the brakelight case from the parcel shelf, and remove the brake light case.

55. Using isopropyl alcohol on a shop towel, clean the bottom of the antenna. Remove the adhesive backing from the fastener, and attach the fastener to the bottom of the antenna.

58. Measure and mark the cutting area on the brake light case. Using a utility knife, cut out the brake light case in the area shown. Remove any burrs from the edges of the groove. Route the antenna cable through the case groove and install the brake light case.

56. Route the antenna cable through the high-mount brake light opening, and install the antenna to the rear tray in the area shown. Attach one cushion tape to the edge of the rear parcel shelf where the antenna cable touches.
57. Align the antenna cable on the rear tray with the brake light case, then using a felt-tip pen, mark the cable position on the edge of the case.

60. Secure the antenna cable, the DIN cable, and the
XM radio harness to the vehicle harness with two wire ties.
62. Position the receiver unit between the right trunk side panel and rear fender panel, and plug in the antenna cable connectors, the DIN cable connector, and the XM radio harness connector to the receiver unit.

75. Check that all wire harnesses and cables are routed properly and that all connectors are plugged in.
76. If equipped with a cargo net, reinstall the right trunk side trim and cargo net.
77. Check the operation of the XM radio system according to the Owner’s Manual supplied.
78. Reinstall all removed parts. Check that all clips and all other fasteners are installed securely.
79. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
80. Enter the customer’s radio anti-theft code, and reset the radio station presets.
81. Reset the clock.
NOTE: Whenever the battery is disconnected, the driver’s AUTO function is disabled.
82. Start the engine. Push down on the driver’s window switch until the window is fully open.
83. Pull up on the driver’s window switch to close the window completely, then hold the switch for
2 seconds.
84. Test the AUTO window function.
