Omega PX811 Series Owner Manual

Omega PX811 Series Owner Manual

Omega PX811 Series is a high-accuracy wet absolute pressure transducer designed to measure the true absolute pressure of fluids and gases. It utilizes a four-arm strain gage embedded in a silicon crystal for fast response and high accuracy. The transducer is free from hysteresis with high output at low strain. Its rugged design and excellent overpressure rating make it suitable for various industrial applications.

Key features of the Omega PX811 Series include:

  • High accuracy: 0.1% BFSL for ranges less than 900 PSIA
  • Wide compensated range: -5° to 175° (-20° to 80°C)
  • Rugged stainless steel 316 isolating diaphragm for compatibility with various liquid media

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The OMEGA® PX811 is a rugged solid-state transducer that
measures true absolute pressure of fluids and gases. For fast
response and high accuracy, the PX811 utilizes a four-arm strain
gage embedded in a silicon crystal. The transducer is free from
hysteresis with high output at low strain. A stainless steel 2886 IF
isolating diaphragm assures compatibility with a wide variety of
liquid media.

and surges, a surge chamber should be installed, and a pressure snubber should be installed on every transducer.
Symptoms of fluid hammer and surge's damaging effects:
meter, install proper snubber and continue monitoring pressures.
b) Pressure transducer output remains constant regardless of pressure.
C) In severe cases, there will be no output.
Fluid hammer and surges can destroy any pressure transducer and must always be avoided. A pressure snubber should be installed to
Fluid hammer occurs when a liquid flow is suddenly stopped, as with quick closing solenoid valves. Surges occur when flow is suddenly
Liquid surges are particularly damaging to pressure transducers if the pipe is originally empty. To avoid damaging surges, fluid lines should
remain full (if possible), pumps should be brought up to power slowly, and valves opened slowly. To avoid damage from both fluid hammer
