1. Power on and observe the Run LED(no. 9)

Check if flashing:

Yes – OK, go to step 2

No – Fail, module fail, send back to repair

2. Plug the Ethernet connector(no. 1)

Check if LINK LED lighted (no. 4 portion)

Yes – OK, go to step 3

No – Fail, please check the wiring of Ethernet connector

3. Execute the ether_cfg.exe and chose intranet mode scan

If this module can be found then prove the Ethernet hardware is OK go to step 4 else check if the TX LED(no. 4 portion) is lighted when perform the scan

Yes – check if the PC is Windows XP, if so turn off the firewall feature(default is on).

4. Check if IP, Net mask are set correctly. Please consult the people who knows how to set this if you have no idea on how to do it.

If Yes then go to step 5.

Please do not set the IP at will(it must be conformed to the subnet of your PC if the CMXXE is located at the same network of your PC), otherwise it will not connected.

5. Execute the ping command to the IP you set at step 4 under the DOS Box(Shell),

If the ping command have reply then go to step 6. else recheck the IP setting.

6. Execute the Winproladder software and use the Ethernet UDP(IP set to the setting of CMXXE) and set station no. to 255 to connect the PLC

If the connection is fail, then

Check if the RX LED(no. 5 portion) is lighted, if yes go to step 7

else make sure your CMXXE settings are as follows

Operation mode: Server protocol: Fatek

Access control: None(empty)

7. Check if the TX LED(no. 5 portion) is lighted, if yes go to step 8 else make sure your settings are as follows

The FBs-CMXXE side -

Communication parameters: Baud rate must be consistent with the PLC port #4

The PLC side-

Port #4 data bit must be 7, parity must be even, protocol must be Fatek and port

#4 must be not controlled by the ladder diagram(CLINK function)

8. Unexpected situation, please report to FATEK for further inspection.
