STRICTLY OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES IN ORDER TO USE THE
PRODUCT PROPERLY AND AVOID POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ACCIDENTS.
STEP 1
Read and understand all steps in the instructions before starting the
installation. Park the motorcycle on a hard, level surface and turn off the
ignition.
CAUTION!
Avoid potential electrical shock! Disconnect the battery before
starting this procedure.
STEP 2
Remove the four fasteners that secure the rear license plate panel. (Some
earlier models may have a fifth fastener behind the license plate). PIC 1 Gently
pull off the back panel exposing the
wiring harness. (Red and Blue plugs)

components shall be warranted for one(1) year.
This includes, but is not limited to; control
modules, wiring, chrome & other components.

regard to other manufacturer¹s products
distributed by Küryakyn. Küryakyn will pass on
all warranties made by the manufacturer and
where possible, will expedite the claim on behalf
of the customer, but ultimately, responsibility for
disposition of the warranty claim lies
with the manufacturer.

STEP 3
Locate the stock wiring plugs, (unplug either the blue or red plugs) and insert the supplied wiring
harness in between the stock plugs. PIC 2 The two small connectors shown in
PIC 2
PIC 3 is where you will be plugging in the lights.
NOTE If you have an existing Kuryakyn LED accessory light installed on the
rear of the motorcycle and do not want to install a second harness adapter, you
may use Kuryakyn Part Number 7302, Multi Plug and Play harness with the
existing harness adapter to gain the plug-ins for the LED Strip Lights.
STEP 4
Remove any grease or debris from the fender panel with soapy water and a clean
rag; allow the area to dry completely. Clean the rear fender panel installation
area with the included alcohol cleaning pad to remove any residue and allow the
area to dry completely.
ATTENTION! Thoroughly clean the area of grease, oil, dirt, or other debris to ensure
proper adhesion. Küryakyn WILL NOT warranty any parts lost due to
improper installation.

ATTENTION! The adhesive may not correctly bond if applied at temperatures less than
50°F. Do not attempt this installation in temperatures less than 50°F.
STEP 5
Test fit the LED Strips to the fender panel. The LED Strips have a lip that will fit
into the recessed portion of the fender panel that the license plate fits in. PIC 4
Position the lower point of the Strip Light on the lower curve of the fender
panel. Make sure the point on the Light Strip follows the curve on the fender
panel. PIC 5 The LED Strip will adhere to the panel, not to the bike. Make any
reference marks with a non-permanent marker or masking tape.
STEP 6
Rub the backing on the adhesive strip to activate the adhesive before applying.
Remove the adhesive backing. Press the LED Strip Light into place and hold for 1
minute to ensure proper adhesion. Full bond strength will occur within 24 hours.
Repeat for other side.
STEP 7
Route the wire harness through the gap between the top of the fender panel and
the body of the motorcycle PIC 6. Test fit the panel back on the motorcycle to
make sure that the wires are not pinched.

THIS LIP FITS TO EDGE OF RECESS IN PANEL
NOTE: If there does not seem to be enough room for the wires, you may take
a small rat tail file and slightly groove the fender panel or the lip under
the trunk for clearance. PIC 6 and PIC 7 You will probably have an inch
of wire showing between the top of the LED Strip Light and where the
wire enters the gap. Be careful not to over-flex the panel after the
LED Strip Lights are installed, or if the panel is removed after
installation.

ATTENTION! Secure all wiring away from any moving parts, pinch points or extreme
heat. Küryakyn WILL NOT issue a warranty on any electrical component
that fails due to pinched, crimped, broken, abraded, melted or frayed
wires.

Plug in the harness to the wiring adapter installed in Step 3. Reinstall the rear
fender panel to the bike. Be careful not to over-flex the panel after the Strip Lights
are installed, or if the panel is removed after installation.
Reconnect the battery and test all lights for correct operation.

are tightened before operation of the
