Frequently Answers and Questions

How do I power up the DVREye?

To power up the DVREye, turn the Board Powers switch to the “On” position. The red and green LED’s will light up for 30 seconds, allowing the PIR circuit to warm up. The green LED will then turn off, and the red LED will blink 5 times, signifying the board is entering a 1 minute automatic walk-test phase. You can move around the camera setup during this phase to check the PIR area. Both the green and red LED’s will light when motion is detected. After the walk-test phase, the red LED will blink 5 times again, indicating the camera system is now active.

How do I adjust the PIR detection range?

To adjust the PIR detection range, simply turn the single turn POT on the board to your desired range. The default setting is in the middle. You can reduce the sensitivity in hot weather conditions or setups over fields with no shading cover.

How do I adjust the audio MIC Gain?

To adjust the MIC sound level, simply turn the single turn POT on the board to your desired range. The default setting is in the middle.

What do the different DIP switch settings do?

The User Control Switch lets you customize how the motion control board triggers the DVR recorder. You can adjust the time delay between pictures, choose to operate only at day, night, or 24 hours, set up a walk-test mode, set how long the camcorder will record, and turn the control board LED’s on or off.
