Kuryakyn 3249 L.E.D. Saddlebag Accent Swoops are designed to enhance the visibility and style of your motorcycle's saddlebags. These accent lights are easy to install and come with all the necessary hardware. The included Triple "Y" Adapter allows you to connect the Accent Lights to your motorcycle's existing Plug and Play Harness, making installation a breeze. Once installed, the Accent Lights will automatically turn on when your motorcycle's ignition is turned on, providing increased visibility and a custom look.

STEP 1
Read and understand all steps in the instructions before starting the installation. Park the motorcycle on a hard, level surface and turn off the ignition.

Küryakyn warrants that any Küryakyn products sold hereunder, shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one
(1) year from the date of purchase by the consumer excepting the following provisions:
● Küryakyn shall have no obligation in the event the customer is unable to provide a receipt showing the date the customer purchased the product(s).
● The product must be properly installed, maintained and operated under normal conditions.
● Küryakyn makes no warranty, expressed or implied, with respect to any gold plated products.
● Küryakyn shall not be liable for any consequential and incidental damages, including labor and paint, resulting from failure of a
Küryakyn product, failure to deliver, delay in delivery, delivery in nonconforming condition, or for any breech of contract or duty between
Küryakyn and a customer.
● Küryakyn products are often intended for use in specific applications. Küryakyn makes no warranty if a Küryakyn product is used in applications other than intended.
● Küryakyn electrical products are warranted for one (1) year from the date of purchase by the consumer. L.E.D.’S contained in components of
Küryakyn products will be warranted for defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years from the date of purchase where as all other components shall be warranted for one(1) year.

STEP 2
Remove the saddlebag doors from the saddlebags by removing the four hex head fasteners from the hinges and disconnecting the slave and tether from the door. PIC 2 and PIC 3 Set this hardware aside, it will be reused.
Assistance is recommended in holding the door before all of the fasteners have been removed to prevent the door from falling and being damaged.

REMOVE THESE FROM BOTH DOORS

Remove the three fasteners from the locations shown in PIC 4 on the back side of each saddlebag door. Set these aside, they will not be reused.
Using a 1/8” drill bit, carefully drill STRAIGHT through each location that the fasteners were removed from in Step 3. Drill from the back side to the front. Gradually increase the size of the drill bit to 1/4” making sure

Drill slowly using light pressure, the doors are plastic and will
drill easily.
Ensure the hole remains straight through the door. Kuryakyn will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages resulting from this installation.

Using the included #6 screws and washers, fasten the Side Accents to

#6 x 1-3/8” (longer) in the two rearward holes, the #6 x 1-1/8” (shorter) in the front hole on each door.

Install the doors back on the saddlebags using the hardware removed in
Step 2.
Ensure the area of installation is free of grease, oil, dirt or other debris including wax/polish products and bugs to ensure proper adhesion. Küryakyn WILL NOT issue a
warranty on any parts lost due to improper installation.
STEP 7
Thoroughly clean the front black portion of the saddlebag door (PIC 5) with soapy water and a clean rag. Dry completely. Wipe the area with the included alcohol pad to remove any residue.

Test fit the Black Extension to the front of the saddlebag door. The top edge of the Extension will follow the line between the painted portion of the door and the black portion. Make any reference marks with masking tape or a non-permanent marker.
The adhesive will not bond correctly if applied at temperatures less than

Rub the backing on the Accent Extension with your fingernail to activate the adhesive. Peel the backing off the Accent Extension.
Slide the rear of the Accent Extension under the front of the Swoop assembly and, moving back to front and following any reference marks made in Step 8, press the Accent Extension firmly in place for one minute. PIC 6 Full bond strength will occur in 24 hours. Repeat Steps 7,
8, 9 and 10 for the other door.
STEP 11
Make sure the wire harness from the Swoop is in the notch on the bottom of the Swoop and there is a washer under the head of each screw installed in Step 5. tighten the fasteners from Step 5 snugly. DO NOT
over assembly or push through and create dimples in the outer black.
Küryakyn will not issue a warranty for any part that show signs of over-tightening.

THOROUGHLY CLEAN THIS AREA

Use the included cable ties to secure the wire harness to the saddlebag brace on each side of motorcycle. PIC 7 Make sure that the wire harnesses are as far from the exhaust as possible.
Secure all wiring away from any moving parts, pinch points or extreme heat. Küryakyn WILL NOT issue a warranty on any electrical component that fails due to pinched, crimped,
broken, abraded, melted or frayed wires.
STEP 13
Remove the rear fender panel from the motorcycle by removing the four
fasteners.
Küryakyn recommends the use of dielectric grease on electrical connections.
STEP 14
If you have an open six pin connector on the Plug and Play Harness,
(previously purchased and installed) connect the six pin connector from the Triple “Y” harness to it. If you do not have an open connector, disconnect one of the six pin sets and connect the included Triple “Y”
the connector in line. Connect the existing accessory and the Accent Lights to
Triple harness out of harms way.
NOTE:
It does not matter which connector from the Accents is plugged into which Triple “Y” connector, the Accents are wired to draw
from

Test all lights for the correct functions.
ENSURE PROPER LIGHT OPERATION BEFORE RIDING
THE MOTORCYCLE. VISIBILITY IS A MAJOR CONCERN
FOR MOTORCYCLISTS. A LIGHTING MALFUNCTION

STEP 16
Replace the rear fender panel.
It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure that all of the fasteners (including pre-assembled) are tightened before operation of the motorcycle. Küryakyn will not provide
warranty coverage on products or components lost due to
improper installation or lack of maintenance. Periodic
inspection and maintenance are required on all fasteners.
