The correct frame size should allow for a clearance of at least 1 inch between your groin area and the top tube of the bicycle frame when straddling the bike with both feet flat on the ground.

While sitting on the bicycle with one pedal at its lowest point, place the ball of your foot on that pedal. The correct saddle height will allow the knee to be slightly bent in this position.

To shift into a lower gear, ease up on your pedaling pressure and shift to a bigger rear cog and a smaller chainwheel. To shift into a higher gear, ease up on your pedaling pressure and shift to a smaller rear cog and a larger chainwheel.

Loosen the handlebar binder bolt and rotate the handlebar forward so the levers are at a 45 degree angle below the handlebar. Retighten the binder bolt to ensure the handlebar does not rotate in the stem.

Clean your bicycle regularly with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Lubricate all moving parts, tighten components, and make adjustments as required.
