Lone Star College WNSP Dual Projection Classrooms Operation The operation of the Dual Projection classrooms has a very intuitive user interface using an iPad. Unlike most other iPad applications that require the iPad to go to sleep after a set amount of time, the TEKVOX iPad application is controlled by the motion sensor in the room. This allows the iPad to stay active all of the time making for a fast user setup. On other systems the iPad must be activated by several button pushes. When motion is no longer detected, the iPad will go to a black screen saving the backlight of the iPad. Once motion is detected, the iPad will wake up and go to its Logo screen if the system is off or to the Main screen if the system is on. Touching the Logo screen displays the System On popup. Press “Yes” to turn on the system. This will not turn on the projectors. Selecting a source and sending it to a projector will turn on the projector. Logo Screen When the System is on, the iPad displays its Main screen. The iPad screens are designed for both landscape and portrait view. The Main screen has four main areas: 1. Source Selection (Left) 2. Operational Controls (Right) 3. Device Controls (Center) 4. If the display is not on, it will power on. Sources can be selected to display on separate display. The PC can be on the Left display while the Document Camera is on the Right. The TEK 2s provide for the control of the projectors and other functions of the system. The left TEK 2 is the main unit and it provides for the occupancy control. The TEK MHD44TP is a unique HDMI matrix switcher with HDBaseT and audio outputs. This matrix switcher is used to route inputs to the different displays and to the audio system. Since users still need VGA for their laptops, the new TEKHD41V is used. This unit adds the ability to allow for both HDMI and VGA connections at the table top cubby (TSC7). For audio control the TEK PA2B is used to control both Program and Mic volume. This small unit is RS-232 controlled, has a 20 Watt stereo amplifier with loop out to daisy chain other amplifiers.
