Eaglesoft 17 Quick Reference guide
Steps provided within this document are based on access from the Front Offi ce screen and only refl ect a few of the many ways to access these features.
Making an Appointment in OnSchedule
1 Open OnSchedule by selecting Activities>OnSchedule>Day at a Glance OR Select the computer on the desktop.

Use the Services Tab located at the bottom of the window to add service codes to the appointment.

Create an appointment by right-clicking on an empty timeslot in OnSchedule and choose Schedule Appointment.
3 Select a patient by simply typing in the patients name or select the patient hyperlink.
4 If the patient has treatment planned services, a window will prompt you to select from these services to be scheduled.

10 Select the Save button to schedule the appointment.

Select the Add Service button to assign services to this appointment.
Select the Add Tx Item button to include items from the selected patient’s existing Treatment Plan.
Icons appear on the appointment as reminders of patient information such as Alerts, Prescriptions and Lab Cases.
Use the drop-down arrow to select an Appointment Type and Chair assignment.

Enter the time and duration of the appointment.

In the Provider Time area, select the drop-down arrow to select a
Provider other than the Preferred Provider, if necessary.

From the appointment, you can also print appointment cards, add lab cases, process a Fast Walkout or send the selected appointment to the Appointment Queue to be scheduled at another time.

Walkout
1 Open Walkout by selecting Activities>Walkout Statement. OR
Select the door on the desktop.

Select a patient by simply typing in the patient’s name or select the patient hyperlink.
If the patient has treatment planned services, a window will prompt you to select from these services.
In the payment area, enter the desired payment options and select the apply button

The payment information will appear in the Walkout alongside the services. Apply multiple payments to this walkout. For example, apply a cash payment and a credit card payment to the same Walkout.
Select Save to process this walkout and follow the prompts.
Add a service by typing in the service code or select the drop-down arrow to select a Service Code from the service code list.

Select the drop-down arrow to designate a Tooth and/or Surface.
Select the Show Estimation button to view the specifi cs pertaining to insurance estimation amounts.
Distribute the payment among multiple Providers, multiple Patients or services. Select Oldest Bal. First or Oldest Non-Ins Bal. First to distribute payments according to those criteria. Credits will automatically distribute to services on the walkout fi rst, unless this preference option is unchecked. Note: The Walkout Credit Distribu- tion window will only open if the Credit Distribution box is checked on the Walkout tab.
13 Select the Apply button and follow the prompts for insurance claim processing.

Select the Recall/Appointment drop-down arrow to view patient recall and appointment information. Select the D button to go to OnSchedule.

RECREATE A CLAIM AND/OR RECEIPT
1 To recreate a claim in Account, multi-select the desired services by holding the control key and selecting each service. Then select the
Smart Claim button and follow the prompts.
To recreate a receipt in Account, multi-select the desired transactions by holding the control key and selecting each transaction. Then select the Smart
Invoice button and follow the prompts.

Making an Account Payment
1 Open Account Payment by selecting Activities>Receive Payment
OR Select the checkbook on the desktop.
2 Select a patient by simply typing in the patients name or select the patient hyperlink.

Enter the payment information such as type, number and amount. Print a receipt if desired. Select the distribute button to break down the payment among providers, patients or services.

Select Line-Item, Provider or Patient to determine where to apply the payment. Select the Oldest Bal. First button or the Oldest Non-Ins
Bal First to determine how the payment is distributed among the existing charges.
Select Save.

Making an Insurance Payment

Open Insurance Payment by selecting Activities>Receive Insurance
Payment OR Select the document on the desktop.
Select a patient by simply typing in the patients name or select the patient hyperlink.
3 Select from the available open claims.
4 Enter the payment information including type, number and amount. Select the
Final Payment checkbox if no further payments are expected on this claim.
Select Print Payment Receipt if desired.
5 Select Save to process your payment.
In the additional screens, determine how the remaining balance and secondary insurance claim will be handled (if applicable).
