Introduction

Scope
This document provides the following step-by-step instructions for monitoring a theatre:

Monitoring notifications, that is, errors and warnings propagated by the TMS about playlists,
KDMs, scheduling and content.
•
Monitoring the status of the auditorium equipment.
•
Manually controlling an auditorium device
Prerequisites
Before attempting the procedures described in this document, you should be familiar with, and
have a working knowledge of, the User Interfaces (UIs) provides by the RosettaBridge Theatre
Management System (TMS).

This document is intended for digital cinema projector operators.

Review Notifications
2.1
Introduction
This section describes how review errors and warnings propagated by the TMS.
2.2
Prerequisites
None
2.3
Procedure
To review notifications currently raised by the TMS:
Open Monitoring
1. From the TMS tabs, select Monitoring:
The Monitoring functions are displayed:
2. Click Monitoring. The Overview UI is displayed with the Notifications panel to the left and
the System Overview panel on the right.
Review Notifications
3. Move the mouse pointer over any an error or warning displayed in the panel. A detail view
of the notification is opened, for example:
4. Review the notification and take the appropriate action.
The procedure is complete.

Review Screen Status
3.1
Introduction
This section describes how to monitor the status of an auditorium screen server and projector.
3.2
Prerequisites
None.
3.3
Procedure
To monitor the status of an auditorium screen server and projector, perform the following steps:
Open Film Lineup
1. From the TMS tabs, select Monitoring:
The Monitoring functions are displayed:
2. Click Overview. The Overview UI is displayed with the Notifications panel to the left and
the System Overview panel on the right.
Review System
3. From the System Overview panel, click the summary view button:
An overview of each auditorium is displayed as a ribbon in the System Overview panel.
4. Review each part of the ribbon for the following status information:
Auditorium
status:
Shows the status of the projector lamp, dowser and playback mode for
the indicated auditorium. For additional information, see the TMS User
Guide, Projector Status.

Current playlist:
Shows the timings of the current playlist. For additional information,
see the TMS User Guide: Current Playlist.
Next Cue:
Shows the next cue. For additional information, see TMS User Guide,
Next Cue.
Next Playlist:
Shows the timings of the next playlist. For additional information, see
the TMS User Guide, Next Playlist.

Take Manual Control of an Auditorium Device
4.1
Introduction
This section describes how to manually override the content and scheduling of content being
shown in an auditorium. You can also modify the settings of the projector and auditorium sound
levels using the management console
4.2
Prerequisites
You must be logged on to the TMS with administrative rights.
4.3
Procedure
Open Monitoring
1. From the TMS tabs, select Monitoring:
The Monitoring functions are displayed:
2. Select Console. The Console UI is displayed with a summary view ribbon of each auditorium
in the theatre. The ribbon contains summary information about playlists, sound and
auditorium devices.
Open Management Console
3. Position the mouse pointer over or near the Auditorium name at the left of the summary
view ribbon and click the left mouse button. The management console is opened.
Override Schedule Mode
4. To override the existing schedule mode, select the appropriate radio button from the
schedule panel:

Note: For additional information about the effects of overriding the existing playback
mode, see the TMS User Guide - Setting the Playback Mode.
Override Playlist
5. To reposition, stop, pause, play, jump, unload the current playlist or replace the current
playlist, select the required control from the playlist controls:
Note: For additional information about the effects of overriding the current status of the
playlist, see the TMS User Guide - Auditorium Player Controls.
Override Projector Settings
To turn the projector power or lamp off or to close the dowser, click the off projects
buttons marked with x. To turn these components back on, use the equivalent on buttons:
Override Macro
6. To override the macro that is currently in effect, click the Macro button:
A dialog is opened displaying a list of alternative macros:

7. Select the required macro and click the Select button. The selected macro overrides the
existing macro.
Adjust Volume
8. To adjust the current volume levels or to mute or restore the sound, click the appropriate
volume control buttons:
Reset Audio Input
9. To override the audio input that is currently in effect, click the Macro button:
A dialog is opened displaying a list of alternative macros:
10. Select the required alternative and click the Select button. The selected input overrides the
existing input and the Format field in the auditorium summary view ribbon updated with
the new value.
The procedure is complete.
