DISASSEMBLY
1) Hold 1R139 with vise. Fit the flat portion of Spindle to 1R139. (Fig. 2)
2) Hold 1R228 with Drill chuck. Turn Drill chuck counterclockwise with 1R228, 134873-0, 1R224 and 1R223.
(Fig. 3)
Note: Use a pipe wrench to remove Drill chuck, if the sleeve of Drill chuck does not turn because of some troubles
with Drill chuck. Grip the periphery of the sleeve with wrench, and turn the wrench counterclockwise.

3) Remove Gear housing from Motor housing by unscrewing three 4x25 Tapping screws. And remove Retaining ring
WR-12 from Spindle. (Fig. 4)
Note: Steel ball 3.5 and Pin 4 may be fallen off from Spindle. Be careful not to lose them.
4) Put Gear housing over 1R037 and Apply 1R284 on Spindle's end. And remove Spindle with Arbor press.
Conical compression spring 15-24 pops out together with Spindle. Helical gear 37 can be removed. (Fig. 5)

DISASSEMBLY
1) Turn and remove Conical compression spring 15-24 when it remains at the hole of Gear housing. (Fig. 6)
2) Remove Retaining ring R-32 with 1R005. (Fig. 7)
3) Applying 1R246 as illustrated in Fig. 8, press down Ball bearing 6002DDW and Cup washer 15.

ASSEMBLY
1) Assemble Cup washer to Gear housing. (Fig. 9)
Note: Face the concave of Cup washer to Drill chuck assembling side.
2) Applying 1R252 as illustrated in Fig. 10, press-fit Ball bearing 6002DDW. Secure it with Retaining ring R-32 (Fig. 7)
3) Turn and push Conical compression spring 15-24 into Gear housing. (Fig. 11)

4) Insert Spindle into Ball bearing 6002DDW in Gear housing by hand. (Fig. 12)
5) Applying 1R027 to Spindle as illustrated in Fig. 13, press-fit Helical gear 37 using 1R029.
Note: Do not pinch Conical compression spring between the rim of Spindle (Re: Fig. 12) and Gear housing.
6) Fit Retaining ring WR12 into the groove of Spindle to hold Helical gear 37. Install Pin 4 and Steel ball 3.5. (Fig. 14)

7) Assemble the Gear housing to Motor housing. Refer to Fig. 4.
Note: Make sure that Conical compression spring works
properly as illustrated in Fig. 15.
8) Fasten Drill chuck to the fastening torque of 25.5 - 30.6 N.m by
turning clockwise.
Spindle must return as soon as you push it down.

Change lever A and Lever case can be separated from Cam housing as illustrated in Fig. 17.
Note: Cam housing consists of Cam, Plane bearing and Change plate. (Fig. 16)
Even if any component of Cam housing has damaged, replace Cam housing by new one.

DISASSEMBLY
1) Separate Handle cover from Motor housing by unscrewing three binds 4x20 Tapping screws. And disconnect Carbon
brush from Armature's Commutator. (Fig. 19)
2) Remove Gear housing and Cam housing from Motor housing by unscrewing three 4x25 tapping screws. Armature comes
out together with Cam housing as illustrated in Fig. 20.
3) Remove Armature from Cam housing. (Fig. 21)
