Environment Cover Installation Guide http://www.pro-face.com/ Installing the cover on the display unit increases its water and chemical resistance. Before using the product, be sure to read this guide carefully and follow the instructions. Installation NOTE: When attaching the Environment Cover on the display unit, do not pull or bend the Environment Cover with excessive force. The rubber portion may tear or the sheet may peel off. WARNING HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK Confirm the display unit’s power supply is disconnected. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage. Rubber part Sheet 1. Place the display unit on a flat, level surface with the display face downward and remove the gasket from the display unit. Stretch outward a corner of the Environment Cover to hook the corner over one corner of the display unit. Gasket Display Unit Installation Groove 4. Starting with the corner of the Environment Cover hooked over one corner of the display unit, fit the Environment Cover into the display unit’s installation groove. NOTICE PRODUCT DAMAGE • Replace the Environment Cover with a new one annually or when stains or scratches become obvious. • If you remove a display unit with the Environment Cover from an installation panel after a long period of use, attach a new Environment Cover when reinserting the display unit to the installation panel. • Do not touch the Environment Cover with sharp objects (such as mechanical pencils or screw drivers). • When cleaning the Environment Cover, do not use bleaches, thinners, organic solvents or corrosive chemicals. • When attaching the Environment Cover on the display unit, do not pull or bend the Environment Cover with excessive force. • Do not store or use the Environment Cover in direct sunlight. • If the Environment Cover becomes dusty, wipe clean with a damp cloth. • Do not attach or detach the Environment Cover frequently. • Do not use this product where it is exposed to oil or chemicals for long periods of time, or where oil mist fills the air. Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage. NOTE: When disposing the product, do so according to your country's regulations for similar types of industrial waste. 2. Align the Environment Cover with the display unit so that the status LED of the display unit can be seen through the opening on the Environment Cover. Display Unit NOTE: Check the entire perimeter of the Environment Cover to ensure it is securely fit into the installation groove. Status LED Opening for status LED Environment Cover NOTE: Except for the status LED, functions on the front panel of the display unit become unavailable. 5. Mount the display unit to the installation panel. For details on how to mount the display unit to the installation panel, refer to the hardware manual of the display unit.
