SECTION 6-STORAGE AND HANDLING INFORMATION
Keep out of reach of children. Combustible liquid. Avoid contact with excessive heat, spark or open flame. For use by trained personnel only. Keep unauthorized
personnel away when applying to floor. Keep container closed during storage. For institutional and industrial use only. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
Avoid breathing of vapors. Use in well-ventilated area. Empty container may contain explosive or flammable vapors.
SECTION 7-HEALTH HAZARDS AND FIRST AID
Effects of Overexposure:
Skin: Prolonged or repeated contact may cause irritation, defatting of skin leading
to dermatitis.
Eyes: Eye irritant. May cause redness, swelling, or blurred vision.
Inhalation: High concentration and/or long term exposure may irritate mucous
membranes of the respiratory tract. Headaches, dizziness and nausea, as well as
unconsciousness may result from overexposure to high concentrations over
extended periods.
Ingestion: Liquid ingestion may result in vomiting. Aspiration of material into the
lungs can cause pneumonitis and pulmonary edema/hemorrhage.
First Aid Procedures:
Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with soap and water. Seek medical
attention if irritation persists.
Eyes: Flush with large quantities of water, holding eyelids open. Seek medical
attention.
Inhalation: Get to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Seek medical
attention if symptoms persist.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. DO NOT GIVE LIQUIDS. Seek medical
attention immediately.
SECTION 8-SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION
Respiratory Protection: Use with adequate ventilation. Use NIOSH approved
Hydrocarbon (Organic vapor) canister respirator when using in confined areas.
Ventilation Requirements: Provide explosion-proof ventilation to keep TLV of
Section 2 ingredients below acceptable limit.
Protective Gloves: Solvent proof neoprene or viton.
Eye Protection: Chemical splash goggles or full-face shield.
Other Protective Equipment: Spark resistant tools are recommended. Eyewash
and fire extinguisher provided nearby when using. Full protective outerwear and
chemical resistant footwear when using.
SECTION 9-SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES
Steps to be taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled: Immediately shut off
all ignition sources. Dike or contain liquid. Avoid walking in product. Evacuate
unessential personnel. Mop up or otherwise absorb and hold disposal. Avoid
discharge to sewer or open waterways.
Waste Disposal Method: Any method in accordance with local, state and federal
laws. Best method is to recycle or reuse for intended purpose. If discarded, this
material and containers should be treated as hazardous waste based on the
characteristic of ignitability as defined under federal RCRA regulations (40 CFR
261). Do not dispose of into storm drain, stream, river or to ground. Rinse
container thoroughly before discarding in trash.
