Fitting instructions
It is not necessary to isolate the valve in
order to change the spring.
1. Release the lock-nut.
2. Turn adjustment screw anticlockwise.
Ensure there is no compression on the
pressure adjustment spring.
3. For the DP17, DP143, DP163
and SDP143:
- Slide out 'C' washer.
4. Remove cover.

5. For the DP17, DP143, DP163
and SDP143:
- Remove pressure adjustment spring
and top plate.
For the DP27:
- Undo the 4 off spring housing securing
nuts and remove the spring housing.
- Remove the pressure adjustment spring
and the top spring plate.

6. Reassemble in reverse order. Note: When
fitting the variable rate conical pressure
adjustment spring the new spring top
plate and longer adjustment screw supplied
should also be fitted.
