This powerful engine offers the wearer customized sound with automatic situation detection, an intelligent algorithm that learns user sound preferences, and automatic gain adjustment, which increases the gain over time to compensate for the effects of auditory deprivation. With Connexx TM 7, frequency shaping for the detected situations can be manually adjusted.

Nitro micon features for severe hearing loss

micon fit

For BTE models, micon fit has been especially adapted to meet the needs of super power customers. Together with micon compression, micon fit offers best speech understanding, loudness discrimination and localization. So you can get the most out of the wearer’s residual dynamic range without neglecting the customer’s hearing habits.

For custom models with 70dB, micon fit provides an amplification and compression scheme that has been optimized for the needs of patients with severe hearing loss.

Tinnitus noiser

The noise signal of Nitro micon’s tinnitus noiser can be configured in up to 20 bands and can also be mixed with the microphone signal. Nitro has four pre-programmed therapy signals: white noise, pink noise, speech noise and high tone noise, providing customized relief in any situation.

Direct audio input

The optional audio shoe enables direct audio connection. It is compatible with most FM systems and provides an excellent signal-to-noise ratio for learning in schools or at home. Optional audio input is also available for custom models via the miniTek™.

Thanks to the parallel processing of two phase cancellers and continuous critical gain measurements in the background, wearers experience feedback-free use and high quality sound.

Nitro micon custom features Optivent:

A ventilation strategy that provides optimum sound quality and speech understanding while ensuring the smallest possible instrument size.

The customized shape of the vent, combined with micon’s feedback canceller, improves resistance to feedback and enables strong amplification for severe hearing loss.

e2e wireless 2.0

This technology synchronizes two hearing instruments into one holistic, binaural hearing system, giving wearers improved spatial perception, connectivity and ease of use.

Tek™ and miniTek work seamlessly with Nitro micon, wirelessly connecting the hearing instruments to many different devices. Android* smartphones can be used to conveniently operate the miniTek via the miniTek Remote App, available in the Google Play* Store.
